In her past Delphine was the most beautiful moon elf that lived in these lands. That beauty has long since been waisted away by age. Even an seemingly immortal elf can age, but Delphine did it with grace. She still has an unique charm and seeing her granddaughters, it is easy to imagine just how stunning the elderly elf once was.

Delphine is the true mother of the Aerendyl family. Mother, grandmother & former governess she is what the Aerendyl family portraits to the world. Grace and fury combined. A loving grandmother to her babies but a fierce enemy to all outsiders. While she has stepped back greatly in the years since her son took over as Governor she still has a quick wit and isn afraid to speak her mind. A cunning woman with a well of secrets. Delphine is not a woman who's words and actions you should take lightly.

As a woman of noble birth it was not nesessary for Delphine to hone her strenghts in the field of battle since she would never see actual warfare thus Delphine was ordered to work her magic in the craft of illusions. Her magic was only intended to console her children, making them see true fairy tales and bringing them into an easy sleep.

Delphine has found other uses for it however, blinding those who are a threat to her family and bringing someone's worst fear come to life. These are some handy skills though in the long run Del does prefer to use her magic the way it was taught to her and bring comfort to her legacy.

Born a noble moon there was only one destiny for young Delphine. She would wed the future govenor of Silvercrest Oropher Aerendyl. A man quite a few years her senior. (kuch 30 years) and her second cousin. She was the perfect bride and she knew so from a very young age. Being taught to be everything the man would desire in her, both her brain and her body and when she came of age, their marriage was a grand feast. They belonged together and being raised from so young to love and adore him, she hardly needed any time to fall head over heels in love with him when she was allowed to.

Their marriage was one of the fairy tales. She was loyal and smart, seeing things from another perspective and learning from the man with every decision and day. While governess herself she brought three sons into the world, her beloved baby boys. Adoring each one. She made the decision to be a hands on mother, not really wanting her sons to have the same drills as she did. Lucky for her sons they were boys and quite a bit more free than she had been raised.

When her Cassian died a piece of her died with him. She mourned so fiercely that she wondered if she would ever feel alive again. It was for her grandchildren that she knew how to continue. She lived for the ever growing family that she could call her own.

When her husband passed and her son took over his tasks she did not fall into desperation again, she held herself strong knowing her baby needed her now more than ever. And now a decade after his passing, she has found her peace. She was born for the man and in death she would return to him. But now she lived for her sons and grandchildren. She'd protect them as only a mother could.
