Anteros Aerendyl

Details

Anteros is a good looking young man, with his half long wavy blonde hair and warm blue eyes. He is, what some women tend to call, a snack. With his slender build, people don't really see him as a fighter, yet he can most definitely defend himself. With him being a moon elf, he's most recognizable by his more pointy ears, which he hides underneath his hair. His magic makes his fair skin only slightly more pale than his siblings, it also makes him feel almost cold to the touch, even though he is physically healthy.  

As one of the Aerendyl family, Anteros is highly used to his life of luxury. He is, what people would call, arrogant and uses it to get whatever he wants. Anteros also has a pretty disturbing side, wishing that his family would be the leading one again, thinking that the council is worthless and actively working against them, even with his sister in a position of power there. Anteros also knows that he's good looking, and it's not afraid to use this to let others do his bidding. And if they are not listening to him than, he will either freeze them to death or let them drink some poison. Who would miss some people, right?

Anteros is the one specialized in freeze water and making it snow. He is highly trained in this since his magic manifested himself on a young age. A few things that are within his repertoire is freezing water, melting frozen water, scattering frozen things to make snow and being less affected by low temperatures. Anteros is even powerful enough to freeze body parts, but this will result in him being drained for a couple of days and at risks of getting frostbite himself. He can freeze water around him, stopping the rain and making hail withing a radius of ten feet around him. He can also form statues either from snow or ice (he was a master in making snowmen). His weakness lays in him being overconfident and draining his magic, in combination with his poor emotional control. He's more effected by warm temperatures and can get serious frostbite if he uses too much of his magic for a prolonged time.

Anteros is born as the third son of Andreas Aerendyl and his wife Saelwyn. From a very young age he looked up to both Castor and Elros, taking less note to the siblings coming after him. Especially Elros was the one he bonded with the most, looking up to the position that his eldest brother held within the family and outside. Still, Anteros was a good and healthy son, taking his fathers teachings to heart and vowing to keep the name of Aerendyl high. This also started his destructive behaviour towards other people, especially those he saw as below him and his people.
Anteros got trained in his magic, having an affinity for the colder side of Moon Magic, making use of snow and ice. These training sessions mostly happened with his father Andreas. He felt blessed by having such a powerful magic caster to be his father and have part of his magic flowing through him, yet another part that fed his already bloating ego. He also trained with his eldest brother in the way of handling a sword, with them sparring almost every day. This was also under the carefully watching eye of his father, who made sure that his third son became a better standard for the family than his second son did.
Where Anteros found pleasure in being around water, he also found a hobby in gardening, which was somewhat strange for the young boy. He had found a book about flowers and their properties, and got especially interested in the poisonous side of plants. Although his father had questions regarding his hobby, he did not interfere, letting the boy do what his heart desires. This made Anteros be in the green house for days on end, carefully tending to his plants and cross breeding them for more potent poisons.
Both his eldest brother and younger sister got their own respective responsibilities, especially after their father returned from the battlefield and almost died, if it hadn't been for his little sister's healing capabilities. This made Anteros slip under the radar, so that he could do what he wanted to do on his own. Elros moved on after he got married and Vasilisa was made ready for her seat on the council, an idea that Anteros loathed but he couldn't do much about it. The whole council was a thorn in his eye, but alone he had no power in doing anything against it. He made it a plan for the future, however.
His brother got married, and even got three darling little children. Which made Anteros an uncle. He was happy for Elros, although he didn't like spending less time with the one he looked up to so much. However, he didn't wish his brother the fate the befell him, with his wife falling ill and passing just shortly after the Lunar Moth Festival. For as far as Anteros knows, there are no future plans made for him yet, so he's focussing on both his training, his gardening and tries to make his brother see a brighter future yet again.

- Anteros is not the biggest fan of animals, yet has a white horse with the name Lily.
- Anteros has surprisingly green thumbs.
- He basically lives in the greenhouse of the estate, working with and around his plants.
- Every now and then he practices his poisons on either animal or person, with various results.
- Anteros is trained in the way of the sword, having one with him at all times.
- His bond with his eldest brother is the best of all the siblings. Although he cares of his younger siblings as well.
- He slightly envies his sister Vasilisa for her position in the council.
- Love is a strange thing for the Aerendyl boy, as he had never felt that emotion before.
- Anteros is most likely asexual/aromantic, only keeping the façade for his father and family.
- He loves his cousins and likes to show them around the greenhouse, if Elros approves.
