It's such a nice day to be washed away.

Breath turned into clouds, snow danced around him- Charlie did not mind the cold, he never had. Though ofcourse he did not like being cold. He did find joy in the way it coloured the world around them in a peacefull white and drew flowers on the outside of windows. It made creatures huddle up together in search of warmth- lights work their magic longer each day. And on such a beautifully lit night, the young boy wandered the streets of central Ishgard. Holding his fur cloak tightly wrapped around him for some much needed warmth. Feasting his eyesupon the many goods the night market had to offer him.

Perhaps he could manage to find some new gloves? Or try a species of fish he had never tried before? In truth- the boy was just eager to buy something. To feel as though he truely had partaken in the festivities just like he used to when he was younger. His parents would buy him something every time they'd visit the night markets of Ishgard. Usually a piece of clothing or a toy to play around with. Charlie smiled a little when he looked at the stalls now- unsure on what it was he would get himself this year. But knowing he had to, to keep the tradition alive.

And after a bit of searching Charlie's eyes spotted something of interest to him. A beautifully crafted wooden bear, clearly made by someone with an eye for detail. And definelty a souvenir worth getting. And so he turned to the woman behind the stand, a beautifull one at that making him drop his jaw slightly. Her dressing did not makeb her look like any vendor he had seen before. On the contrary- it looked regal, so expensive. Like the clothing worn by the people living in palaces. Unfortunetly though-  it was not a sign for him to realize he had been standing on the wrong side of the stall. No, nothing implied to him he was speaking to a member of the royal famil of Ishgard, no matter how obvious, "Hi, good evening miss, i'd like that bear please, how much is it?"

I sat by the shores. And i counted the waves.

Raena had been looking out to the festival for months, every since it became cold. She always loved the festival. The cosy and warm feeling that was created through the market days, lights everywhere to brighten up the darker days. And the ball at the end of the year, it was always an event Raena had never not celebrated with lots of partying, drinks and socialising. Raena loved literally everything about this festival, ever since she was a small child. She always made sure to buy something too. She had at least one special thing each year that brings her back to that year of purchase.

Now she was taking a look at beautifully crafted wooden pieces. She didn't have one of those yet. Her eyes fell on a delicate butterfly. Before she could try to make the purchase though, someone suddenly started talking to her. She looked up into the eyes of a - dare she say - gorgeous young man. She blinked in surprise. Did he think she was the one selling the wooden pieces? 'Oh, I don't know,' she replied, chuckling softly. 'I'm here to buy one as well.' Did he know he was standing on the wrong side of the stand? It was quite amusing. Raena couldn't contain her smile at the thought.

It's such a nice day to be washed away.

Why would she be buying one herself? It was all hers to begin with was it not? Charlie frowned as he held his gaze upon the woman in front of her, dressed in a manner that should have been pretty telling to him to begin with. Yet none of it seemed to click as he looked on, instead, he found an explanation elsewhere, a chuckle escaping him as he tilted his head slightly. " Oh, the vendor must be off then-" he thought out loud with an amused glance upon his dark eyes. " You should get back here before he comes back mrs, don't want you to get in trouble- who knows what he might thing" Charlie continued on concerned. A vendor could not be blamed for mistaking her for a thief now could he? It was not every day one hid behind a stall of which she owned none of the merchandise.

Having said that, the young man looked around as though the person in question could return at any second, ofcourse he'd protect the lady from harm then, but it could not hurt to see it coming beforehand right?

Raena's amused smile never left her face at the mans words. Him thinking she was on the wrong side of the stall while he was the one who stood wrongly, it was amusing. And he was so concerned for her too. Besides the amusement, endearing found her way on her face too. He was cute. 'I don't think I'm on the wrong side, young man,' she spoke bemused. She could leave it at that, let him figure it out on his own. But he was already so clueless, Raena couldn't really think to let him figure it out on his own. Besides, if the vendor owner did return, she didn't know what problems that would cause. Not that much, she suspected, but still. She couldn't leave this man in his cluenessless. 'You are on the wrong side I'm afraid,' she said with a smile. Not accusing him, just informing.

Would she notice? Would she think he was crazy if he looked at her any longer than he already did? Charlie smiled slightly nervously as he stood before her. Noticing how hard it was for him to look away from her-  but they were talking to each other so how weird would it be really?   If he did not look at her he'd be rude. Yes oke, it was fine, he could relax. But why did he not then? Why did he still get nervous around her? Looking was oke, thinking she was pretty was oke- oh gods, she had said something had she not?

With big eyes he noticed it was not just him staring, she was staring too now. Yes, she definitely had said something then. "Heh" nervously he shoveled the snow under his feet aside "Yehh-yeeeh totally" smile and smile, smile and nod charlie. She could not find out he had been distracted by her just now, he had to fake it till she made it. but- but what if he came across ridiculously right now? A panicked breath escaped him as he felt stuck now. stuck between looking dumb and looking like an idiot- or worse, as if he didn't care about her. Because he did, he cared- he didn't love,  thAT would be weird. But he cared- like a normal amount. And she was pretty, very pretty. Oke- now he had been quiet - oh gods "UH- oh, I am uh, I'm Charlie" Distract. aVOID. Hopefully, she'd forget the awkward interaction. But what if it only made things worse? He inhaled shakily "I'm sorry-i uhm, it's busy" in his head it was. So he wasn't completely lying. right?
