Raena Rizal

Raena Rizal is someone who radiates confidence. She's not the tallest, but carries herself well and confidently. Her shoulder length hair is black, sometimes lighting up brown in the light. Her brown eyes look determined into the world, accompanied by a self-assured smile. She looks serious most of the time, but her bright smile will light up the room. She's a good looking woman, something she knows of herself aswell, which is also evident in the way she acts and presents herself, always taking good care of her appearance.

When seeing her, you can already see Raena is a confident individual, someone who knows what she wants and doesn't appreciate any nonsense. She's confident in herself and what she can do, allowing her to grow as a person and in her studies of mathematics. She's also a bit of a nerd, on that note. She likes to spend her time with her nose in the books, calculating the night away with all the numbers and formulas there are. Just as in her studies, she's calculating in her every step aswell. But besides that, Raena also likes a good party, not shying away for a night of fun and likes to crack jokes. Shes a social butterfly who likes to crack a good joke, she's a lover of good humour. She doesn't want to marry and settle down anytime soon, wanting to focus on herself before anyone else, which reflects in her independancy. Raena cares a lot for her studies and her own power. This might result in her not always accepting help from outside, wanting to solve her problems on her own first. Raena also doesn't like to ask for help and can pretend very well that everything is fine. At the same time she does care a lot for others. She doesn't open up a lot to others, but when she does she trusts you enough for it, which doesn't always come easy.

Raena has the gift of divination, gifted by Ylindar, allowing her to see one's future. Where her mathematics studies are fixed numbers and answers, she has to let that go with her gift of divination, where she can only vaguely make something out of it, something that she finds difficult to accept.

She does this with the placement of the stars in the sky. This gives her a sense of exactness that divination doesn't originally gives her. Raena can see prophecies in the stars and thus is only capable of doing so at night. She has been training this since she saw her first few prohpecies when looking up at the sky. Now she can force herself to see prophecies, though they aren't always as accurate and more draining than when she happens to see one by chance.

Raena doesn't like the vagueness that comes with divination. She likes fixed things and prefers to know what happens next. This results in her having difficulty with using her diviniation properly, often draining herself trying to force prophecies and to see it exactly how it would be. She knows this is something she can't really change, frustrating her in the process.

Raena was born as the first daughter of Antonia Yilandar and Evander Rizal. Some years later, her little sister Fauna came to this earth. Raena loved her little sister dearly and liked to spend time with her family. She had a childhood without much hurdles, staying in the castle and learning to be a proper Lady. While Raena enjoyed the ladylike etiquettes, she was more interested in the world around her. She was often found outside, playing in the nature and meeting all kinds of kids. When she grew older, Raena realised she loved learning new things and was often found with her nose in the books. She especially found a liking to fixed numbers and calculations, the start of a career for her in mathematics.

Raena had made clear from the beginning she wanted to study instead of being married off to someone she didn't know. This resulted in her studying mathematics at Ishgards academy. When she was around 21 years old, her father fell ill. She tried to help with his recovery, staying by his bed and helping her mother and sister where she needed. She felt her mother and Fauna had it especially hard, and Raena tried to take over the care for the two. Her father unfortunately didn't make it, leaving a big gap in her heart. Raena managed as good as she could while being there for her mother and sister, while simultaneously focussing on her studies. Luckily, they are both doing a lot better nowadays, giving Raena more freedom again.

Just as when she was a child, Raena is a social butterfly who likes to learn new things more than marrying a man. She wants to focus on her studies and make a career and name for herself as a mathematician, hopefully becoming a professor on the subject.
