Caelum Vylasar
Caelum Vylasar
Well, the wedding had happened. Caelum wasn't too sure what to really think of it, so he rather not think. It was a beautiful wedding with two beautiful people. And an excuse to party, so that was always a positive thing, right? Caelum wasn't always too fond of parties. He often found himself standing on the side. Then again, with his own family it was different. He was easier around them, more comfortable. It wasn't a surprise then that he found himself drinking plenty wine, enjoying himself well. The Vylasar soon found himself with an empty glass again. Hm, time to fix that. Caelum walked up to the liqour, deciding what to take next. Would he try something a little stronger than wine?

He lost Ani, he felt sad to have lost her, but she was nowhere to be seen. And because he really didn't want to socialize with people he didn't know, the bar was his best friend. Had he lost count about how many drinks he had at this moment? Absolutely. Did it really matter? Hopefully not. He had already felt all the stares and he didn't want to confront people who would only judge him for what he had been doing. But yes, the world was spinning and he had to lean over the bar to be able to stand. It had been good fun, he had danced with his girlfriend, but after that she had disappeared. Maybe because it was the wedding of her little sister, but he had also seen her with another man. Younger, but not the one from his visions. No, this man looked a lot like Ani's little sister. Like, a lot a lot, like twins a lot. But they had disappeared not long after, leaving the Rizal alone with an empty glass that magically seemed to get refilled all the time.
The older man noticed how someone walked up the bar, looking around the liquors. "If you're tired of the wine, try the whiskey." He told the younger man, slurring in his words, while swirling around the liquid in his own glass. He looked at the liquid, before throwing it down his throat, feeling the warm sting of the stronger alcohol. A hiccup followed before he turned around and looked the man up and down. "Vylasar, right?" He had to be, there was almost nobody from other families. Well, besides him.

While he was questioning his next move, a man next to him spoke up. Caelum looked up to the older man. Had he seen him before? Probably, yes. But he didn't know him actually. Try whiskey? Hm, should he? He looked at the bottle of whiskey, looking quite inviting. But when he saw the man, who was clearly drunk, hiccup after he threw the contens of his glass into his throat, he doubted his next action. Would he..? Caelum was glad the conversation was led away from the topic of liquor. He nodded at his question. 'Yes, I am Caelum Vylasar,' he introduced himself. 'And you are?' He was really trying to remember the stranger, but he had no recollection of the man. Was he new here or did he just never pay attention to the people coming in and out of the castle? A bit concerning, honestly. He should probably pay more attention to things like that.

Looked like he had the mans attention, as he noticed his eyes look at the bottle of whiskey. The wine and beer was nothing next to a good glass of the stronger stuff. However, it could really screw with your head. As Therion was experiencing right now. He could hold his liquor, of course, he was born a Rizal and in the coldness of Raveryn. However, it was tied with the nerves that he had felt for this day, and the lack of drugs in his system. Which meant that his hands were trembling and he felt how his back was wet from the sweat. He had kept his jacket on, as it was covering most of it. Hoping that nobody was noticing it. But that all combined had made him grab to the bottle a bit longer than he had wanted and he started to feel it.
The younger man answered his semi question. Introducing himself as Caelum Vylasar. One day, he had to learn that family tree, but right now, he couldn't care less. It was a Vylasar, he had seen numerous of those today. He didn't not care where this one belonged. However, he got the question returned to him. "Therion Rizal," he answered, but stopped after that. Aniu Vylasar's boyfriend? Her plus one? A family acquaintance? How should he introduce himself. He looked at his empty glass and decided that it was probably better to just leave it at his name. There was a very low chance that the Vylasar would be bothered by how he fit into this wedding anyway. Hopefully.

He noticed the uneasy behaviour of the man in front of him, who held his empty glass in a trembling hand. He wondered if it was really a good idea for him to keep drinking, but who was he to comment on that? It was a joyous event after all, it would be sad of him to tell him off on drinking. Caelum was sure the man would feel the aftermath of it tomorrow morning, but that wasn't his responsibility of course. The man introduced himself as Therion Rizal. Caelum quirked an eyebrow at the name. A Rizal, okay. Caelum wondered why he was around. Did Ezekiel or Chaska know him? 'Why are you at the wedding? Were you invited?' He hoped his question didn't came across too attacking, he was genuinly curious. But also a bit unsure about the man. Was he really welcome here? He had never heard anyone about a Therion Rizal.

He felt the eyes on him, looking him up and down. It was only normal, he was a sight not many had seen in the past few days. Not that he was well known the first time he went to Lemuria. He kept to himself for most of the time, especially with his addiction and all. Therion placed the glass on the bar and placed his hands over each other, hoping to stop the trembling at least a bit. A sigh rolled over his lips when he heard the question. Wondering what would happen if he just said no. If he was just here for the alcohol and left after wards. If he didn't have an invitation. He chuckled at that thought, before turning towards the younger man. "I'm with the older sister of the bride." He told him, before reaching over the bar and grabbing the bottle of whiskey. "Now, did you want any or not?" He asked, before pouring a new one for himself. It kept him warm, after all.

There was a little hesitation with the other man at his question. Caelum titled his head a little. Was he really here without an invitation? He could they let that slip? Do the guards need to step it up? But his thoughts about that dissapeared at the answer he got. Ah, the sister of Chaska. Wasn't her name Aniu? He got pulled out of the thought by the next question, if he wanted whiskey or not. Caelum had to do his best not to look puzzled when Therion poured some in for himself. But, he already decided, he wasn't in a place to question other people's drinking choices. And it was a party, so why wouldn't he have some whiskey? 'Yes, allright, thank you,' he nodded and put his glass next to his on the table. 'Where is Aniu now?' he asked then, wondering why he wasn't with her at this moment.

Thanking Raanan for the alcohol in his system, because this conversation became easier and easier. He really should stop worrying about what others were thinking about him, about his relationship and why he was here. It looked like he had stumped the younger man, which gave him the time to grab the bottle of whiskey and pour himself a new glass. He didn't want to think about how his head would feel tomorrow morning, but that was something for tomorrow. For now, he could have fun. This would be one of the only occasions were nobody would judge him on how much he was drinking. The young Vylasar told him that he wanted a glass as well and he poured a bit more than was appropriate for the glass he was holding. "First sip burns, it gets better after." He warned the boy, not sure if he ever had a glass of whiskey before. "Ah, I believe she left with the bride. Not sure, I saw them leave some time ago, Chaska's dress looked like someone spilled wine on it. But it looks like Ezekiel has also disappeared." Therion shrugged, sipping from his whiskey.

The whiskey was swiftly poured into his glass. Caelum was pretty sure it was more than appropiate in the glass he had, but the man seemed obviously a little drunk. And it was a party, so who cares. Now he just didn't have to pour a second time, right? Caelum grabbed the glass, taking a little sip after the mans warning. He did have whiskey before in his life, but it wasn't a lot. The first sip always burned, he never really got used to it. He tried not to make a face though, but he was positive it wasn't very succesful. Hopefully the man was too drunk to notice while he was telling him where Aniu went. Apparently with the bride, who had a spilling of wine on her dress. And Ezekiel had dissapeared too. Caelum could say with confidence he wasn't all too surprised to hear that. Oh well, they would be back, some time. 'I see,' he nodded. 'How are you enjoying the party so far?' Looking at him, he was enjoying himself just fine. But maybe he could use some snacks in between those glasses of alcohol. 'Should we go grab some snacks to eat?' He was craving for something sour as well.

How he could still speak? It was a mystery even for him. He blamed it on his Raveryn genes. He was used to alcohol, as it had been fed to him from a rather young age. He could hold his liquor. As long as he had this bar to lean against. he had poured a glass for the younger man and with a certain curiosity in his dark brown eyes he watched as he took a sip. Therion had to bite his tongue not to laugh when he saw the face that the man was making. It was the same with everyone who took their first sip of the strong alcohol. He looked at the door through which he had seen his girlfriend disappear and wondered how long it would take to change Chaska out of her dress and into whatever came next. However, maybe they wouldn't return at all, it was getting quite later after all. A question pulled him back to the conversation and he had to think hard to remember what the question was. "As good as my need for more alcohol." He said, twirling his whiskey in his glass. "Hope you're not afraid of getting stared on, I believe I had more eyes on me than the newly weds got at some point." He sighed. When the young Vylasar pointed out something to eat, he noticed how he indeed felt hungry. "Sure." Ok, problem. Now he had to get off this bar, which was a whole other task. "Are you getting them?" He asked, hoping that if Caelum got the snacks, he could just stay here and lean back.

It seemed a lot harder for him to talk and even stand upright with each sip of whiskey he took. Caelum was starting to worry slightly, hence why he offered for some snacks. He wondered if he did mind getting stared at. Probably. Caelum didn't really like standing in the center of attention. He was on the background most of the time. He kind of felt like that with his family too. Therion must have maybe noticed this, or he just really couldn't walk well anymore, but he asked if he could get the snacks. Cae tilted his head a little again and sighed softly. Right, well, he indeed didn't like to get stared at to such extent when he had someone next to him who couldn't walk anymore. So he nodded. 'Yeh, allright. Just wait here then.' As if the man would go anywhere else, but okay. He gave the Rizal a last look before he turned around, searching for a table with snacks. After some looking around and avoiding people and their glasses of alcohol, he found a table with the snackbowls still filled enough for two. He swiftly walked up to the table, hoping no one would come in and seize the snacks right in front of his nose.

Aniu Vylasar
. . .
No, I don't care about them all
'Cause all I want is to be loved
And all I care about is you
You're stuck on me like a tattoo

She had managed it. It had left her pretty much drenched in bath water and almost completely sober again, but Aniu had managed to take her beloved and highly intoxicated, covered-in-spilled-wine of a sister up the stairs. Her plan had been brave and simple, especially in her own wine-soaked mind: Take Chaska up the stairs, clean her up, change her into her nightgown—gifted by yours truly, and a gorgeous gift at that; Ezekiel was a lucky man—and make sure she was good and ready to leave her for said man. The two of them still had some marital duties to perform. A thought that made the raven-haired sorceress chuckle. That was perhaps the one thing Chaska could look forward to within this marriage, if she had to believe the secret confessions of her sister. From what Aniu had seen of her new brother-in-law, the type of man he was, she could recognize some of his traits in her own man. And if Ezekiel was even a smidge like Therion under the sheets... Chaska was indeed a very lucky woman.
It did mean that Aniu was done with her own duties for the night, and as she walked down the hall towards the stairs, she briefly contemplated if she should just go and change into something else. Something less wet? Hmmm, this would dry eventually. Apparently, her dear sister hadn't sobered her up completely with her splashing and drunken, childlike behavior in the tub. Because a sober Aniu would definitely change before grabbing Therion from the party to retreat with him in her own room. Aniu wasn't done partying yet; however, now that she had newfound freedom. Perhaps for her, the night was just starting. She did wonder in what state she would find her beloved Rizal. Knowing him, he'd probably reached the bottom of at least a bottle or two. And depending on what kind of bottle it was, it was bound to be a pleasant surprise.
Even though the bride and groom had left, the party was still very much ongoing. Of course, none of the guests would miss the opportunity for free drinks, paid for by her dear papa. She rolled her eyes at the thought of that man this evening. During the brief moments she had with Peter, he kept pushing her and hinting at another young man. It wasn't strange for him to request his eldest daughter dance with or entertain certain guests, but something in her gut told her there was more behind it this time. Luckily for her, his eldest daughter had been too occupied with the bride. And her brother. And definitely with Therion. The thought of the handsome Rizal brought a smile to her face and caused her step to quicken, making her want to be near him again. She looked around the big room, looking for him among the many dancing, drinking, and conversing wedding guests, only to be met with the sight of the young man her father had pushed her towards. She didn't like how Peter tried to urge her into a conversation with the other Vylasar, but Aniu also loved and respected her father. Enough to at least obey his wishes. Besides, she could use some extra daughter points with him if she ever planned on bringing Therion to meet her parents.
With that certain confidence in her step, made possible by two shots and a couple glasses of wine, she made her way over to the table where the young man was looking over some snack bowls. Observing him as she neared him with a slight curling of her lips. She leaned with her bottom against the side of the table next to him, using one hand to lean on the table. "Most Vylasars usually go straight for the booze." Almost to underline her words, the sorceress grabbed two of the full wine glasses off of the tray of a waiter, passing by the table. With a friendly but somewhat playful look in her eyes, most likely caused by her being somewhat tipsy, she looked back up at Caelum. Holding one of the glasses up for him while taking a sip of her own before tilting her head a bit. "Or are you just a little peckish, cousin?" Wondering if he'd recognize her after all this time.

He was in luck, no one got at the snacks before him. He was considering his options, when someone appeared in his field of vision. The woman half sat, half leaned on the table, supporting herself with her arm. He blinked in surprise at her sudden appearance and let his eyes trail down her soaked dress. When he looked up again she had acquired two full glasses of wine and mentioned they were cousins. Caelum put one and one together and a hint of recognition in his eyes sparked. 'Ah, you must be Aniu,' he said while accepting the wine of glass with a small smile. 'I was indeed searching for something to fill my stomach with something else than just booze,' he chuckled slightly. 'How is the bride? I heard she had a spilling of wine on her dress.' According to Therion, whom Aniu was with apparently, she had been gone to care for the bride. Caelum wondered if the bride and groom would appear on the party again.

The young Vylasar actually agreed with him to go get the snacks. Thank Raanan, otherwise he would have to fall from table to table to find something to eat. No, he preferred to just stay here, with his bottle of whiskey and maybe a bit more, depending on how the night was going. He swirled his drink around, thinking about the future. He wasn't one for thinking far into the future, with him being a diviner, he preferred to just see what was going to happen. However, within the fog of his drunken mind, he had been making some plans. Thinking about what he wanted to do, gave him a big smile on his face, while he finished his drink.
Before he reached for the bottle to pour himself a new one, he noticed how someone was standing with the young Vylasar. A person he would recognize from every angle possible. His heart jumped when he noticed Ani, but it sank just as fast when he saw the two of them talking. Of course, it was a Vylasar wedding after all, so he shouldn't be surprised about her talking to other family members. However, something was rubbing him the wrong way. Maybe the alcohol, probably the alcohol. Therion tried to find his footing, and somehow was able to walk towards the two sorcerers in a relative straight line, with the world spinning around him. He placed his arm around Ani's shoulders and pressed a kiss on her cheek. "Missed you." He whispered in her air with a smile, before he nodded to Caelum. "Looks like you found my girlfriend." He told him, and probably with the first time today, a hint of pride was in his voice. His girlfriend, yes. Ani was his and his alone.

Aniu nodded as her smile widened a bit when he mentioned who she was. She had heard stories about how the Vylasar children used to play in the gardens together. She didn't have much memory of those days, but she was almost certain that Caelum had been one of those children as well. Especially since they both belong to the older ones in the group. She chuckled with him when he explained his reasoning for the snacks. "Then you are more wise than some of our guests." Her eyes went around the room for a moment, where several rather intoxicated people, many of whom were family, indulged in their drinks while leaving the food untouched as if it were decoration. When Caelum spoke again, she turned her gray eyes back in surprise. Apparently, her sister's unfortunate wine accident didn't stay an undisclosed accident for long. "She's fine. Thanks for asking." flashing him a smile in appreciation. She clearly wasn't used to friendly Vylasars. Besides her own brother, of course. "I had to give her a bath, hence my soaked dress. It was a bit of a struggle." She chuckled. "I think the party is done for her and her new husband, though. I very much doubt we'll see them again before sunrise." A meaningful grin curled on her lips before she placed the wine glass on them to take another sip. The next moment the sorceress almost spilled on herself when she felt a heavy arm, rather hot and clearly a bit moist because of the heat, around her shoulders, followed by a pair of lips pressing on her cheek. She hadn't seen Therion coming, and she especially didn't expect his whisper in her ear. As expected, he had been drinking. A lot. While she's been taking care of Chaska. And though his words made her heart flutter, causing some color to appear on her cheeks, she also felt a hint of annoyance. She quickly grabbed a napkin from the table to wipe away the droplets of wine that had sloshed on the side of her mouth because of Therion, who probably didn't realize how heavy he was right now. She glanced over at Caelum to see his reaction before Therion's next words sank in. "You two have met?" Clearly surprised, she looked from her cousin to her lover, feeling the annoyance fade away quickly when she laid eyes on him.

Aniu mentioned he was more wise than other guests for chosing to eat some snacks in between drinking. Caelum chuckled softly. He might be, yes. Aniu then explained what had happened to Chaska. Apparently she had to give her a bath, hence the soaked dress. Caelum nodded in understanding. That did explain the wet dress indeed. Before he engaged in the conversation with Therion, Caelum had thought the bride and groom would appear once more on the party, but that thought made place for doubt. Now Aniu confirmed it by telling him they probably won't be attending the party anymore. He smiled slightly at her words, nodding in understanding. He knew what she was referring to. He hoped it all went well for them, at least. Caelum hadn't put much thought into marriage yet, even though he was a little bit on the older side to be without a wife. Caelum only hoped his marriage wouldn't be arranged anytime soon.
Before he could say anything in return, Therion appeared next to Aniu. He basically leaned onto her as if she was the table he had just stood at moments ago. He must've seen them talking together. He called her his girlfriend and Caelum couldn't hide his surprise that well. He nodded at him before his eyes went back to Aniu. 'Oh yes, we talked over there,' he said while nodding at the liquor table. 'You two are together?' Were they something official? Would there be another wedding soon?

Oops, she didn't seem all too happy with him leaning on her as if she was some kind of table. He quickly removed his arm, once he had kissed her cheek and tried to focus his attention on the other Vylasar. Meanwhile, he tried his luck elsewhere with placing a hand on her hip, keeping her close next to him. When she asked if they had met, he only nodded, as it was Caelum who answered the question. Maybe he should have brought the bottle of whiskey with him, because now he was without a drink and he didn't like that very much. He could steal Ani's wine, but he'd rather not die on the spot here. The next question he heard from youngest Vylasar, made him smile even wider. "Yep," he grinned proudly. Every care about his relationship with the younger Vylasar had ebbed away with the whiskey that he had poured in his system. "Can I offer you a drink, love?" Quickly stealing the glass of wine that Ani was holding. "Something better than this piss poor excuse for a drink." His face filled with disgust while he chugged it himself, placing the glass back on the table. "Oh, snacks." His attention was all over the place at the moment, as was prominent while he grabbed some of the snacks that Caelum was holding.

The young Vylasar had every intention of showing the world that she was with the older Rizal when she took him as her plus one to this wedding. As far as she was concerned, she was taken. No matter how her family would react. Which they had been doing. Chaska had aimed for some kind of confrontation earlier this evening, of that she was sure. And she had seen the looks Therion had gotten from Deimos. Nothing extreme, thank Lythrana, no scenes were made. Yet. But somehow she hadn't imagined this situation. A very drunk Therion, around her shoulder, whom she struggled to keep on his feet for a moment, placing her hands on his shoulder and chest for a second. He had quickly placed his hand on her hip, which wasn't that much better. She wanted him to make a good impression, and as it was going now... she wasn't sure he made the right impression at all. She could already feel the eyes of her parents throwing daggers their way, seeing Therion's hand linger around the back and side of their eldest unmarried daughter, as if she were already his by Lythrana. Especially in front of Caelum. Her eyes followed where the other Vylasar pointed, noticing a half-empty bottle of whiskey on the table. Not that it was hard to tell what Therion had been drinking. Caelum's next question made her stumble over her words, clearly not expecting this conversation to be thrown at them. They hadn't really talked about what to tell other people, which now felt very irresponsible. In Ravaryn, she had lived her life with him with ease. No care in the world about the fact that they were very unlawfully together. She didn't know anyone there, so it had no consequence. But here, she suddenly felt the judgment of home. Therion clearly did not have that struggle. Proudly proclaiming that they were in fact together. An awkward giggle followed from her, not knowing what to say or do. She wished she had the same confidence and pride that he showed, which she did, but she had a hard time showing it right now. With him acting the way he did. She flashed Caelum an apologetic smile; the poor kid probably wasn't expecting this either. When suddenly her glass of wine was stolen from her. Before she could even respond, Therion had managed to insult her choice of drink and drink it all away in one big chug before his grubby hands took some of Caelum's snacks. Aniu was absolutely flabbergasted by what just happened. Making her jaw drop a little, looking at the older sorcerer. She was already mortified by his behavior, but this really pushed her buttons. The young woman scoffed when her shock was quickly replaced with aggravation. Giving Therion a deadly look before turning toward Caelum again. "Not officially." Her voice had a sharp undertone as she answered his question from before. Another waiter walked by with a tray full of drinks, of which she grabbed one. "My apologies for what you're about to witness." She then said to Caelum before turning back to Therion and pouring the drink right over his head with an ice-cold glare. The glass was placed on the table with a loud thud. "I could really use some air right now. Would you like to join me?" Asking the young man without granting Therion another look.

Caelum was slightly suspicious at them being together. He hadn't heard about any other wedding plans besides Ezekiels and Chaska's. Of course, Aniu was another branch of the Vylasar tree, but still. Therion however answered that they were indeed together with a simple yep. Before he, or Aniu, could react, the man took her wine and drank it in one go, offering something else for her. Caelum blinked at the play that happened before his eyes. Aniu clearly wasn't amused by his behaviour. Caelum was sure he drank a bit too much to really be enjoyable now. Then Aniu had the chance to answer as well, saying it was not official. Caelum nodded in udnerstandment, he had thought so. He wondered what her parents would be thinking of it, do they approve? Caelum at least found that hard to believe, seeing how drunk Therion was right now. And before the Vylasar could respond, Ani apologised for what was about to come, and threw another wine glass in his face. His mouth fell open a little, unable to hide his surprise. When she asked if he would join her for a breather he was hesitant at first, but nodded anyway. Maybe a little air was what they needed yes. Therion especially, but Caelum understood that Aniu didn't want to be in his presence right now. Caelum did feel a little sorry for the man, but he had brought it upon himself. And when he had to chose, he of course chose his family. 'Uh, yes, of course, I will join you,' he said with a nod. He stepped aside, gesturing she could go first. 'After you.'

Hell's coming with me
With his hand in the snack bowl, he listened to the answer that Aniu was giving. Making him feel only the slightest sad, as it meant she wasn't fully ready yet to see them as officially together. However, within his drunken mind, he couldn't really grasp the reason why. It did surprised him, thought, when a full glass of some kind of liquid was poured over his head. He let his head hang, before sighing and straightening his back. "Point made." He spoke, before nodding to both parties. "I'll let you two be." And within a not so straight line, the older Rizal walked outside.
-I'll give you guys a five to ten min skip, so do whatever xD-
His hair was still dripping wet, with water this time and not some sticky alcohol, while he had found himself a spot outside. The party was still very much going on and he was wondering if he would be allowed to come back inside. Therion had found his glass and the bottle of whiskey back, brought it with him outside but decided to take it slower. He had sobered up a bit, after not only getting a drink poured over him but also dunking his head in barrel of water he had found just outside the premise. Right now he was sitting on the balustrade, looking over the city from his ventage point, with his back against the wall, one foot on the balustrade while the other hand to the side of it. He held his glass, still half full with whiskey, in one hand, while his arm rested on his knee. Between his lips hung a cigar, one he had asked for by an older gentleman. He alternated between taking a drag from the cigar, blowing the smoke out of his nose and taking a sip from the whiskey, while he softly sang to himself. "I'm raising my glass and tossing it back, but I can't remember why. So let's have another for all of my brothers, who drank until they died." Meanwhile his half working brain was wondering if Ani was having fun with her cousin. And if she missed him at all right now.

No, I don't care about them all
'Cause all I want is to be loved
And all I care about is you
You're stuck on me like a tattoo

Bottled-up stress and tension from this whole night, perhaps the whole last couple of weeks, finally found their way out of her. Therion's action being the final drop. For a moment, she felt a sweet release when the liquid of the glass in her hand poured out. But it didn't take long for the regret to trickle in. Fighting inside her mind with the parts that believed this was totally justified. He was acting like an ass, and in her opinion, the alcohol in his system wasn't an excuse. As usual, she didn't know how to make her feelings on the matter known. Not right now, and not in a healthy way by giving in to an impulse. But she was also the only one who knew his struggles and who shared them for most of the night. Her feelings were once again torn apart by this man. This time her anger was more victorious, though, and she couldn't look at Therion again. Not until he had turned his back to the two Vylasars and walked away. For a moment, regret reflexed in her eyes as she watched him leave, before she let out a sharp sigh in anger once more.
She flashed Caelum a thankful look when he agreed to join her for a breather. But instead of walking ahead of him as he gestured, she placed her arm around his to walk beside him, guiding him that way towards the gardens. Where she wanted to be right now. Only when they found some more quiet outside, as the party sounds muted inside, did she speak again. "I'm sorry, for dragging you into this." She sighed, her gaze fixed on the ground as she strolled through the castle gardens, fallen in the shadow of the night, with only the stars—and a bit of the lighting coming from the castle—to light their way. "I hope I didn't ruin your night?" She looked up at the young man, his face barely lit by the scarce starlight.

Luckily, Therion accepted the fact Aniu didn't want to see him right now. Caelum felt a bit better now, knowing Therion was okay with them going outside together. He didn't want to involve himself in any relationship family drama. Aniu linked her arm through his instead of going in front of him, and lead him away from the party. Together they went outside. The noises of the party were slightly muted and Caelum only now found his ears ringing a little at the sudden lack of noise around him. But he was glad to be outside, inhaling the fresh air. He looked at the girl next to him when she spoke again, telling him she was sorry for dragging him into this. He only shrugged. He didn't want to be a part of any drama between them, no, but he also didn't want to leave her alone outside. Family sticks together, right? He chuckled softly at her next words and shook his head. 'No, of course you didn't, Aniu,' he spoke softly, smiling at her. 'In any case I should be sorry for drinking with Therion and.. Well, asking questions about you two.' Not that he could've stopped Therion from drinking, but oh well. He did ask them sensitive questions, although it was to be expected when they were together on a wedding party, knowing it wouldn't be all that supported by her parents. 'How long are you two together now? You do seem close.'

The calmness of the nightly garden and the cool air did her well. Especially in comparison to the loudness and rather thick air of the party. Giving her racing mind a breather for once. A part of her wanted to turn around and find Therion, and... well, she wasn't sure what she wanted to do with him. To him, for him. It was better to have some space, sort her thoughts, and perhaps—hopefully—let him sober up a bit. At least for now. She didn't want this to ruin their whole evening, nor that of Caelum. An evening that had been rather wonderful, actually...
Aniu smiled in relief back at him when he assured her she hadn't. He was kind, and she liked him. She was glad that she had decided to walk up to him. He didn't seem to be all that judgmental about her relationship with Therion, unlike some Vylasars she knew. Caelum was more curious than anything. And something in his aura made her comfortable with him. Perhaps it was a Summoner thing.
It was her turn to chuckle. "He would've been drinking with or without you. I'm glad he wasn't drinking alone." Her hand, resting on his arm, softly squeezed in a grateful gesture toward Caelum. This was hard enough for Therion to meet his family like this, with only her as a source of comfort. Knowing that he might have been bonding with someone else in that family was a relief. "I don't mind the questions, really. I feel like I can trust you." She smiled shyly, since that wasn't something she was used to with most people. Especially strangers. His next question wasn't too surprising, but his comment about the two of them seeming to be close made her blush. Had it been that obvious? She instantly felt her heart flutter for the Rizal. Followed by a stab of guilt for her words and actions earlier, and for a moment she thought to hear Therion's voice singing a song somewhere in the distance. Aniu quietly contemplated her answer for a couple of seconds. How much she was comfortable telling Caelum. "We met for the first time, about a year ago, when I was touring in Ravaryn. He just kind of... blew me away from the moment I saw him. It quickly turned into something more, and I was with him for a couple months before I needed to go back home for... personal reasons. I didn't think I'd see him again." Her expression had been melancholic as she spoke, but now a soft smile appeared on her face. "He found me again, here in Lythrania, a couple of weeks ago. It was quite a surprise for both of us." As they walked, they neared a corner of the garden with some seating space and a little fountain, which splashed its drops into the white stone basin. Aniu let go of Caelum's arm and sat down on the edge of the fountain, reaching her hand out to trail her fingers through the cool water. "Did.. did he say anything about me? Or us? When you were drinking together?"

That Therion would've been drinking with or without him came to no surprise to Caelum. He chuckled softly and nodded in agreement. He was relieved when Aniu said she didn't mind the questions, and that she felt like she could trust him. Caelum looked at her and smiled softly. That did him well. He thought the only other person who actually really trusted him was his sister, and maybe Myrddin. But other than that, he wasn't that close with a lot of people. Caelum was a trustworthy person and that Aniu said this made him feel good. 'Thank you, Ani,' he softly spoke with a smile. It encouraged him to ask another question, for how long they were together. Aniu paused for some seconds, as if she was deciding how much she could tell him. Caelum waited patiently, looking around the moonlit garden as they walked.
When she started talking again, he turned his gaze upon her once more. He listened quietly, nodding along with her story. 'It sounds like it was meant to be,' he smiled when she finished talking. Caelum knew it wasn't really accepted, the relationship that they had, but he saw that they liked eachother, even though Therion started a scene back inside. Caelum had never been in love and it was kind of a strange territory for him. He didn't imagine himself marrying too, anytime soon. But what the two shared was obvious. When they rounded a corner, a little fontain with seating appeared. Ani was quick to go sit on the edge of the fontain, running her hand in the water. She asked if Therion had said anything about her, when the two of them were drinking. Caelum sighed a little and sat next to her, turned towards her and the water. 'Only that he was with you. And that you were helping Chaska with her dress.' He felt kind of bad that Therion hadn't said anything else about her, as if it was his own fault, but there hadn't been too much room for them to talk anyway. 'But it is clear he likes you, a lot.' He smiled hopefully at her. 'And I don't even know a lot about love,' he added with a chuckle.

We can be heroes
"Here's to all the women, the widows and the brides. The ones that we came home to, the ones we had to hide. The next one's to the road boys, and all the crap we tried. We thought we were immortal, and then you died. I've been feeling kind of lonely, so I came here to get fried." He sang softly, only sipping from the whiskey that he was playing with in his glass. He looked up to the shimmering of the moon and stars. Although he was enjoying himself at this wedding party, it would always have a sour note. He had lost enough friends to the substance that he was drinking in high volume at this moment and it somewhat scared him. Maybe it was better to stop the alcohol for now, let it all sink in and start looking for Ani and Caelum. However, was it a good idea to bother those two? They seemed to have fun together and he didn't want to be an annoying factor. Ani had the right to mingle with her family and he was just an outsider for this. He drank the last of his glass, before standing up from the railing. "I'm raising my glass and tossing it back, but I can't remember why. So let's have another for all of my brothers, who drank until they died. I'm raising my glass and tossing it back, but I can't remember why. So let's have another for all of my brothers, who drank until they died. Drank until they died. My dead drunk friends" He continued his singing, softly, while he placed the glass on one of the tables and started walking into the gardens. If he was to find the two Vylasar's, it should be here. His world was still somewhat spinning in front of him, but he knew that once he laid eyes on the woman of his dreams, he had a focus point. Therion smiled shyly, feeling betrayed by his own thoughts, but knowing that it was true. When he heard voices in the distance, the older man walked up. Ani and Caelum was standing in the gardens, bathing in the lights and the faint light of the shimmering moon. He just caught the last words that Caelum spoke and he sighed softly. The younger Vylasar wasn't wrong. Even if he wouldn't admit it to himself, he was head over heel for this woman. Wondering if they could see him he stood his ground, leaning over a railing while watching them together. He was just within earshot and he wondered if he could pick up some more of their conversation. At least until they would noticed him, that is.
