Elendorr Fenrora

Details

Like most elves, the man is rather tall, and he walks with a certain elegance. He has long dark colored hair with gray/blueish eyes, shining like pure starlight. When he walks, it almost seems like he’s weightless. His back is always straightened and most of the time his face seems rather friendly, unless something is actually bothering him.

If you would look at him, you wouldn’t think that he was actually 57 years old, even if you had some knowledge about elves aging differently. He is in really good shape for his age, and he still looks very strong.

When it comes down to his clothes, he usually wears long elven dresses/suits in the colors gray, red or silver. Sometimes also wearing purple or earthy tones. This is when he is at home, or at gatherings. When he is standing guard he usually wears armor, and his armor is either purple or golden looking.

Calm/Affable
To many people, Elendorr is a pleasant man to be around. He is calm and rather easy to talk to. The man is usually very friendly towards most of his fellow elves, and even to strangers he is never really rude or cruel in any way. He is always willing to listen, and he tries his best not to be too overly judgemental. Elendorr is even able to show some empathy towards those that have been wronged. Sometimes, he does actually fall short on this when it comes down to his daughters, but then again, he is trying his best.

Determined/Dutiful
When he sets his mind to something, or begins something, it might not be easy to convince him to stop. He is determined and he is very dutiful. So, when one of his higher ups asks something of him, he will usually do it, unless he doesn’t fully agree with them. He will always do what is best for his tribe, and his family. Never letting the people who count on him down.

Fair/Honest
If he doesn’t fully agree with something, he is almost always completely honest in his opinion about it. This makes him easy to trust as well, because you know he will always tell the truth about what he is thinking. Besides that, he will always tell you why, explaining why he doesn’t think it’s a good idea, or why he disagrees. All in a respectful way, ofcourse. But even if he doesn’t agree with something, he will always follow the rules, never breaking them. He will also never actually be too harsh in voicing his opinion either.

Pensive/Rational
Elendorr can often be found thinking about a lot of things, and he isn’t one to joke around. Most of the time he is pretty serious. He knows how the world works and he holds a lot of wisdom, so he will always make choices and decisions based on what he knows. And when he doesn’t know something, he will usually also take the time to learn enough about it, so he can give better opinions about it.

Protective/Responsible
The man had no problem taking on a lot of responsibilities and he takes his task to protect the White Stag tribe and Avalon very seriously. He also takes his task to protect his daughters very seriously, but he is certainly a bit too overprotective when it comes down to his actual daughter, Aelisia.

Elendorr, due to his age, has quite a lot of tricks up his sleeve when it comes down to his wood magic. He is able to do a lot of things, though, ofcourse, not completely without effort. His magic always drains energy, and after he has used a lot of his powers, he may need some days to recover. Gather back his strength.

Vine growth & enhancement
During a fight he is able to use this as a defense mechanism, creating some kind of wall made from strong vines to stand between him and his enemy, slowing them down. He can even grab enemies by the arm with the vines, making it unable for them to use their weapons, and/or pull them out of balance by pulling a foot from underneath them. Using this kind of power drains his energy faster than most of his powers, and after using this, he will probably need a few days of rest. The vines he grows are also stronger than regular vines, making them harder to slice through with a weapon. The opponent needs a lot of strength and a sharp weapon.

Medicinal plant growth & enhancement
This is more something he is specialized in, and he has a whole arsenal of plants in his garden with a lot of medicinal properties. He also makes them so that their medicinal purposes are stronger then they would normally be. For example, if the healing property of the plant will usually take a few days to be absorbed into the body, he will enhance their properties to a point where it would only take a couple of hours to work. There are some spells he can use that can even fasten and/or strengthen this process when applied to a wound, which could mean the difference between life and death in certain situations. When it actually has to be a quick healing, let’s say one where he needs to be applying the plant to a wound so that it can remove any poisoning from it, it can also be quite energy draining for him. For growing the plants in his garden he uses less energy, for he spends only a bit of time each day to enhance their properties. He also needs his plants to be able to heal other people, without them, he can’t do anything.

Elendorr was born within the Fenrora family, a family that was once one of the largest and most ancient elven families of Avalon. His ancestors had survived the Crimson Raid and had both fought many battles before and after this event. Slowly trying to rebuild their legacy back over time from inside the White Stag tribe, where they stayed loyal to all the other elven families that had survived. Playing their part in protecting both the ruins of Falerien and bring back their numbers.

Elred Fenrora and Aerilla had certainly done their best as well when it came down to making numbers, since they both had a lot of children. Seven in total, with Elendorr being the second oldest of the bunch. He only had one older brother, and after him came a lot of sisters before his parents eventually gained a few sons again. Elendorr always felt very responsible towards his little siblings, and he often helped his mother caring for them, but he also felt like he needed to prove himself more because he wasn’t the first born son. So he grew up always having to work a bit harder for his praise.

When he was young, he always wanted to be a guard like his father, protecting the ruins of Falerien and the borders of Wealdstone, keeping their own tribe safe and magic safe from any further harm. His father only spent more time with his older brother, which gave Elendorr more time to explore. The young elf could often be found collecting herbs and he quickly found a fascination for the medicinal powers they held. Eventually, his father did let him in on more training as well, and his study for medical plants was put on halt so that he could do more combat training.

Disaster eventually struck the family when Elendorr was 27 years old, as his mother died while giving birth to her last child. This left the family grieving while they also welcomed another brother/son into the world. His father grew a bit more bitter after that, and Elendorr had a hard time speaking to his father about his grief. Not even his older brother had been able to help the man, and instead, the rest of the family was beginning to rely on them for everything they needed. His older brother had already been married, and his own wife was very well on her way to become a mother for the second time, so she had decided to take care of the little newborn brother.

Elendorr decided he wanted to learn more about enhancing the medicinal properties of plants, so that maybe he would be able to save the next woman from dying while giving birth. Or at least, that was his goal. So, he began to spend less time training for combat, and spending more time with his plants. Besides everything that he had always done, Elendorr had also never found himself a woman yet, but during this time he was starting to gain more of an interest in one particular woman. She had always been soft to him, during, but also before, his own grieving process. And as a true friend, she was there for him while he was busy trying to support his family.

When Lúthriel eventually did return, he was more than grateful that she had. But when she told him what happened, he felt a bit sad and maybe even slightly disappointed/betrayed. Not that it actually changed much about how much he cared about her, because his feelings were still very much the same, and he still felt that need to protect her, so he married her. Taking her daughter in as his own, letting her grow up with his name. Not all too long after that, they were also blessed with another daughter. But when she turned out to be quite a handful, they began to wait a bit when it came down to getting more children, unlike what their family would have wanted to see.
