Benji is very weak looking. He’s been going through transformations for most of his life, so his body had a lot to endure. Considering he locks himself up during his transformations, he has a lot of scars from wounds he’d gotten during them. It’s not uncommon for him to have noticeable open wounds just after a full moon. In general, Benji likes to go unnoticed. He doesn’t care much about his appearance, and he usually looks and overal acts tired.

Benji is not known to pick a fight with people. He usually is very friendly and helpful to strangers. However, he does have a very strong opinion about things and isn’t afraid to let others know it. He doesn’t back down from a fight to protect the people he loves or things he believes in, but tries to avoid them where he can. If course, around the full moon he’s a lot more irritable, and it’s easy to provoke. Benji is a quick learner, and is naturally curious about things. He has a hard time leaving questions unanswered, and will go through trouble to get what he needs. He can also be very disciplined and focused, dedicated to something once he set his mind to it.

Benji had a very happy childhood. That was before he got bitten, anyway.

His parents were scientists from Lemuria. Fascinated by moon magic and what this could do for people, they started studying how the magic worked and how it could be used for science. Especially how the lycanthrope curse came to be piqued their interest. They were part of a group scientist who specifically tried to find a cure for lycanthropy.

When Benji was four, his parents were killed by a lycanthrope who believed they shouldn’t be cured at all and were superior to humans. He killed his parents, and bit him, leaving benji orphaned and alone.

He was brought to the first orphanage of many. And spend the rest of his early childhood in and out of them. Every time he settled down with a new family, they always ended up abandoning him because he was too much to handle. Benji travelled around a lot because of this, but never had a home.

Eventually, when he was ten, a man found him and offered to take him in despite the risks that it brought. Benji was skeptical at first, knowing people always ended up leaving him behind again, but Erek let him stay and gave him opportunities to develop himself.

Just like his parents, Benji started to get interested in science, and pursued this interest by becoming both a scientist and a scholar. Just like his parents, he’s rather interested in trying to find a cure for lycanthropy, or at least find a way to make the curse more bearable, but he’s too afraid to pursue this topic.
