A new day. Now maybe today was finally the day that he could get some business done. So that was what he was going to do. Walking through the city he knew people were looking at him. He couldn’t care less though. He knew that he looked odd in their eyes. With his white hair and his particular eye color, but the man simply couldn’t give a rat’s ass about what they thought of him. If anything some of the people he passed did give him a respectful nod. Knowing perfectly well who he was. Good. More than good even.

Stepping into one of the shops that belonged to the Skygge’s. His eyes briefly moved over the wares. Pelts in all kinds of different colours and textures. Fingertips briefly brushing over one of them. Each and every one of those pelts was from the best quality one could imagine. All perfectly skinned. Or well, so he thought. While he had only come around to see how business was going here, his trained eye did fall on some weird things regarding the pelt. Instantly he straightened his back when he heard the door open as well. A customer.

Turning his head slightly so he could see who walked in here, the corner of his mouth curled up. ’Look at what the cat dragged in.’

Every time Sirach came to Ravaryn, there were certain stops he had to make, certain people he needed to visit. One of those people was Arkyn. When Sirach’d left Lemuria for the first time, a very, very long time ago, he’d gone north, just because he couldn’t go south. In Silvercrest he’d gotten used to living in a city, being able to work jobs for people and steal whenever he couldn’t get enough money together for food. He hadn’t forgotten how he’d survived in the Xailan deserts, but Avalon and Ravaryn were a completely different game. There were big animals that tried to kill you, instead of heat it was rain or cold that tried to get you down, and Sirach had almost died a couple of times before he’d reached Ishgard. He’d been lucky it’d been bloomtide when he went further up to Norwyn or he’d definitely have died.

It was between Isgard and Norwyn that he’d first met Arkyn. Sirach had caught a rabbit, but still had no skill in skinning. That’s where Arkyn came in. The other’d taught him how to skin an animal and from there they’d become friends. Sirach had travelled back after that, but he tried to visit whenever he was in Ravaryn. And so he entered one of the family's shops, trying to find out where he could find the other. Coincidentally, walking in just when Arkyn was inside.

“Happy to see you too,” he grinned back.

Coming to Ravaryn was like coming to his second home. The family had a place of their own here as well. But in the end in the entire kingdom of Ravaryn the Skygge’s had spread, so he’d always find a place to stay if it was needed. But today he was solely her for business nothing more. Wanting to make note of the inventory and to see if any altercations needed to be made about the hunting routes. Something he rather did in person. Though in the end whoever was running the store did decide on his own after all. But he liked to give his input either way.

Meeting Sirach here was also becoming more of a tradition than anything else. Sirach was someone he did consider as a friend. If anything the two got along. ’You following me or something?’ The man grinned, extending his hand to the other to properly greet him. Glancing up when one of his family members came to the front as well. Offering him a list, which made him nod gratefully. ’What brings you here? And don’t flatter me by saying you just came out to see me.’

It was pure coincidence that Arkyn was inside the shop. “Don’t flatter yourself,” Sirach grinned as he moved closer to properly greet the other. They were interrupted by a family member of Arkyn that handed the man a piece of paper which the other appreciatively accepted and looked over. “You know I like to keep moving,” Sirach answered. “I got bored and the north always has something interesting to offer.” He hadn’t really come here for a specific job. Lemuria had started to grow old again and so he’d left for Ravaryn in the hope of finding something interesting to do—or steal.

It was always good seeing the other. While they weren’t that close, they had established a connection over the years and he did value the other. Though their knowledge about the other only went that far. If anything Sirach was an enigma on its own, and he wasn’t sure in the good or bad sense of the word. But the fact was that he appreciated the other being here. Shortly chuckling at his words while he looked over the paper he was holding. Everything looked in order.

’Always on the move indeed.’ He hummed, handing the paper back at the relative who disappeared in the back again. ’Let’s grab a drink somewhere hm?’ A suggestion like no other, and well, it was better to catch up with each other. If the other felt like doing so that was.

This was the way Sirach had always liked it: leaving and appearing whenever he wanted to. Staying in one place for long had never been his kind of thing and this way he could get people from getting too close to him since whenever they might get through the wall he kept up around him, he left again. Sirach nodded. “Sounds great,” he answered. The relative had disappeared back into the back and it was just them again. “You have a place in mind?” While Sirach knew the city well enough and had some regular spots he visited whenever he was in town, Arkyn was the local here, so he must have some suggestions.

His friend traveled and did other things as well, things that weren’t going to be mentioned and where he simply didn’t have all the knowledge of. Though there was no judgment from his side. If anything, to each their own. It was something he firmly believed in. The life of a nomad. Something he could find himself in, though Arkyn had settled down over the years. Not that it kept him from traveling though. No, if anything otherwise he wouldn’t be in this very spot would he?

A short grin curled around his lips as a nod followed. ’I have yes. A place I went to yesterday.’ A hum followed as he gathered what he had put down. Opening the door and walking out in front of the other. Shortly glancing over his shoulder. ’Tell me, how has life treated you friend?’ There was genuine interest in his question, he truly did wonder how long it had been since the two of them last saw each other. A very long time if you asked him. But he couldn’t really put a number on it.
