Sirach sat and waited with the steaming cup in his hands. This was so not his scene. Sitting down and talking not about business, but about himself was something he only did rarely. He was always so busy, he never took the time for it. Though that was mostly just an excuse. He didn’t like letting people too close to him since that only ended with everyone getting hurt. Today, he hadn’t expected to do anything in the store but buy leather, but the man across from him had grabbed his attention and while his personal life was always off limits, he did enjoy telling stories about his travels. And that seemed to be what the stranger was after.

“Mostly stealing stuff—” There was no reason to hide that since he’d already said it. “—also a lot that involve defeating monsters,” he answered. It was the most legal thing he did, at least if you ignored that that was how he gathered ingredients for his magic.
