“Who we are and who we need to be to survive are two very different things.” @Erebus Grimwald Eyes filled with confusion and anger followed him everything. Malcolm wasn't surprised. He was wearing his regular leather jacket which had seen his best day. Underneath a shirt. Well, a shirt. You could barely call it that. It was filled with tears and holes. His pants were held together with stitches and random pieces of fabric. Even lower class people would look down on him. It wasn't smart coming here. For many reasons honestly. For starters, his father roamed these streets as well and just the thought of it was horrifying. It was clear the people around didn't want him to be here. He could get kicked out any minute with his obscure appearance. The gigantic scar on his face didn't help either. He took a deep breath and paced forward. He was here to visit an old friend to deliver something. Something that he had stolen. It was too risky going to a new person. This was an old friend, sort of. Malcolm trusted him, and that was more than he would give most others who could be interested. Nope. This was the right guy. Altough the setting wasn't optimal.

I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife.
Offer me that deathless death.
Back in the Upper Ring. He had the idea that he wasn't making any progress in the past few years. There was no news about his niece, not even a mention about a lycantrope attack. He couldn't see his sister eye to eye until this was settled, or at least he felt that away about it. Still, she had asked him for tea and he just couldn't resist. So, Erebus was going home to find some better suiting clothes before going down to the Middle Ring. He knew that his
sister wouldn't mind for all this, not since she had left the house. But it was his mannerism and their parents would've been proud that at least he kept bits of it in tact. A small smile crept on his face, while he roamed the streets. A scruffy looking man caught his attention and he wondered what he was doing in this part of the city. There wasn't much time, but he could make some small talk before hand. His curiosity became bigger and bigger the longer he had his eyes on the man. "You're not from here," he casually said while walking towards him. Mentally he made a note of where all his belongings were, he didn't want to get pickpocketed. Not here, not this close to his house.

“Who we are and who we need to be to survive are two very different things.” @Erebus Grimwald The old friend he was seeing was just a couple of blocks away when a man approached him. His clothing told Malcolm he was clearly from around here. A deep sigh left his lips. The last thing he wanted was to get bothered by some rich snob to make a scene. He just wanted to get in, do his thing and get the hell out of here. But, as usual, his plan didn't go as flawless as he wanted it to go. "Yeah so what." he spat back at the upper ring citizen without slowing down his pace. He eyed the other. "What do you wanna do about it" he muttered under his breath, hoping the man would just turn around and leave. Theoretically seen it was totally allowed for anyone to be here. It was just frowned upon. But nowadays they were willing to kick you out for it. In silence he cursed the fucked up social system they were living in. It was all bullshit anyways. People should be free to go wherever the hell they want. But apparently that wasn't the case anymore. Just because these gold kissing assholes were too disgusted to even look at the peasants from the other classes.
