Phaedra had let her sister convince her to "go out" today, whatever that would mean. It was afternoon, not too late, but the worst of the heat of the day was already gone. She was ready to go, but Persephone was nowhere to be seen. How long could it take to get ready anyways? Or was she simply distracted by something else? She should have just said no, then she would have been able to spend some time training right now. But Persephone could be very convincing, when she wanted to be, and Phaedra's heart was also not made out of stone, although some people might believe that.

After a lot of begging, complaining and even one attempt to just pull her sister outside until she finally followed her she caved. She told her that she would come with her and Persephone had been smiling from ear to ear ever since she agreed. That didn't mean she didn't sort of forget the time while she was practicing her magic though. She liked her magic. It almost made her feel alive every time she used it. It was a feeling she could easily get addicted to, maybe she was already.

"Phaedra!" She ran through the halls greeting her sister and waving whilst also attempting to apply a cooling salve for the burns she got. They weren't that bad, she definitely had worse but she wouldn't hear the end of it if she didn't apply it. "I'm sorry I lost track of time" the younger princess apologised sheepishly.

Finally, after way too long, her sister showed up. Phaedra had almost left, but she could be patient - it was a skill that was useful on the battlefield more than you'd expect - and she cared for her sister enough to not disappoint her that much. Her dark eyes observed Persephone as she walked in, scatterbrained as always, waving and applying cooling gel to her hands at the same time. Her gaze hardened a bit at that. She'd never admit it, but the ease with which the others practiced their magic and their sometimes cavalier attitude about the whole subject rubbed her the wrong way. They always took it for granted, when it was a unique gift that was bestowed upon them by their heritage. Phaedra stood up and briskly walked towards her sister, grabbing the cooling salve and taking her hand, turning it over so she could see the burns. "Let me see", she asked, and although her expression was hard and unreadible, there was a tone of concern for her younger sister in her voice. She could still remember the pain of the burns on her hand; only first degree, like these seemed to be as well. Her own weak magic had never been able to bring forth anything more. But she treasured the memory of the pain - for her, it had come with an intense feeling of relief, before it turned into disappointment. It had been physical proof of her magic. She had mourned the loss of the burn when it had finally healed. She was brought back into that moment while applying the cooling salve to her sister's hand, her touch rough and unrefined but not uncaring.
