Phaedra usually wears unrestrictive clothing. She doesn't particularly like dresses that much, although she will wear them if absolutely necessary. Phaedra has a weak spot for big, chunky jewelry; especially rings. Maybe she just likes them because they can hurt a lot when you punch someone; nobody is really sure. She has a faded forehead tattoo, done by one of the tribes as a thank you for protecting them in battle. She will almost never be seen without her weapon.

Phaedra could be called a typical soldier, if she wasn't a princess. She is rough around the edges, although she can clean up nicely if required. She will always do what is required and is a very hard worker. She often seems as if she has no fears at all. Maybe it is partly because she overcompensates for her very weak magic; or maybe it is because she is bitter because she will not become queen. It is hard to tell. Phaedra is a very closed-off person, and prefers to spend her time in solitude. She is hard to get to know and she doesn't trust easily.

Phaedra has very weak magic. At first, nobody was really sure if she even inherited it. She worked very hard as a child, spending days trying to get some fire, anything, to show up. And she succeeded by burning her hands; weak, first degree burns. Every time she tries to use her magic, burning herself seems to be the only thing she can do. Years of practice have taught her to get at least a little bit of heat out before actively getting burned, but she has yet to produce a flame or light.

Phaedra is the third youngest daughter of the family, and as such is not directly in line to the throne. This has always been a source of frustration for her, as well as her weak magic. She discovered she actually inherited it when she was around ten years old, by burning her hands. Phaedra decided to go into the army around 14, so that she could train to succeed in the Sun Ring. And succeed she did. She became a great warrior, at least for her age; at around 20, she saved one of the lesser tribes from an invasion by foreigners, and was rewarder with her forehead tattoo - her family was not pleased with this decision.
