Details

The woman already had a very slender figure, but ever since she moved to Lemuria, this has only gotten worse. She only took a small bag of money with her, and now she is living life from the lowest parts of society. With her red hair and bright blue eyes, she does stand out a bit. Even though she may not fit within the beauty standards for everyone, at least for a ginger, she does not look bad on the eyes. Her skin is very smooth and pale, and in the summer, she might have a few soft freckles that appear on her cheeks and nose. Talwyn's hair is very often wild and out of control, with curls jumping up and down everywhere.

Demeanor

Talwyn usually looks like a very gentle and cheerful woman, someone who is easy to talk to. And that may not be so far from the truth, because she is certainly a kind hearted woman, however, she can be pretty stubborn as well. In many ways, she is much stronger than she looks. So yes, sometimes looks can be deceiving. But, for someone who has been born into a highly noble family, she does not always quite move like a lady. Her back is quite often a little bit arched, instead of fully straightened, even if she can certainly keep up a good posture, if she chooses to do so. But then she would have to remind herself.

Clothes

The clothes she wears right now, are very different from the clothes she wore when she still lived with her family in Ravaryn. They are very simple, made from the simplest of fabrics. Usually, she wears a corset with a few layers of dresses and skirts. And sometimes she ties her hair with braids, to stop it from looking out of control, or she binds them on her head with a piece of fabric. Most of the time she does not look like someone who would belong in a highly noble family.

Kind/Empathic
These might be the first two traits that come to light when one meets Talwyn, because at first glance, she is always kind and sympathetic towards other people. She acts from the will to do good, and she does not want to hurt people on purpose. If she does hurt someone, that person probably deserved it, or it had been completely without intent.

Overemotional/Fiercely Protective
Talwyn experiences emotions on a very deep level, and she often takes things to heart far too easily. Her emotional outbursts are not rare, and everyone who would know her, knows she can be easily triggered. Besides that, she is extremely protective over her friends, and she has no trouble crossing a few lines to avenge them, if need be.

Stubborn/Jealous
The woman surely has a mind of her own, and if she decides on doing something, nobody could stop her. Her stubbornness is, more often than not, a trouble for herself, or for others. Because she does not often think about the consequences. She could potentially hurt herself, all because she does not want to admit that she can’t do something. Next to that, she can also be a bit easily jealous from time to time, and she doesn't like to share the attention of a man. Nor does she like to be put on second place.

Talwyn’s parents have certainly tried to train her when she was younger, to use her magic, but thus far, she has never been able to get any visions whenever she wants them. They come to her by surprise and can never be forced. For a long time, she has been very frustrated with this, and in that time, she had very little to almost no visions. Because of this, her parents often wondered what was wrong with her. And this probably made things worse.

Her visions aren’t usually very clear, and they only appear to her for a couple of seconds, when she doesn’t see them coming. They can suddenly be provoked by the touch of a hand, or the touch of a object. Maybe even a long gaze at someone, or possibly a dance.

Childhood

Talwyn was raised by very strict parents, something she used to struggle with a lot. Not because she didn’t love them, or because they did not love her. But she knew she could never live up to the dreams they had for her, for she knew they were not hers. They wanted her to walk straight, act like a noble lady, and practice the magic that had been bestowed upon their family while she could do none of these things, or well, at least not perfectly, not in their eyes. But she did try, she always tried to do her best for them.

When her sister was born, she eventually turned out to be much more of those things, and Talwyn felt some relief, but at the same time some jealousy. Her sister gained a lot more attention from their parents, but they also began to pay less attention to Talwyn. So, in a way, she was more able to do the things she wanted to do. From a very young age, she had been very interested in music, and especially songwriting. She heard a lot about adventures from songs, and they always made her want to experience everything the world had to offer. Because she also had a poetic nature, she wanted to search for the deeper meanings in life, so that she could one day put them down in songs as well.

Teenage years

During her teenage years, she began to grow a bit more rebellious, not always listening to everything her parents told her. She often always found ways to sneak away from the estate, and into the village, to spend time with the lower born children. Playing in the woods with wooden swords and spears. Her parents were beginning to lose hope on her magic, and they almost began to worry that she was born a simple human. Until suddenly, she did start to get visions, but they were much less controllable. For starters, she wasn’t able to call upon them, because they simply happened. No matter how much her parents tried to help her, all their efforts turned out to be in vain.

The same could be said about their efforts to keep their daughter on the righteous path, and this became much worse when she was taught how to ride horses. Sometimes for many hours, she would get lost, and then she would return with dirt all over her dresses. But the harder they tried to push against her, the more she rebelled. Though, when they finally stopped trying to make her into something that she was not, everything began to calm down again. Talwyn eventually realized she had pushed things too far as well, and she was making more of an effort to be a good daughter. Until.. Until her parents sent her sister away to Norwyn.

Adulthood

Even though Talwyn had always been a bit jealous of her sister, she couldn’t handle her being sent away, and she hated her parents for making that decision. Because she knew she would miss her. And then, out of spite, she had taken a few bags with some of her belongings, and stepped onto a ship heading to Lemuria. Not leaving any note of where she would be going, she left her parents to go and live out her life the way she always wanted too. Without them telling her what to do.

When she left, she had taken a few of her friends with her, and they made shore in Moonbright, where Talwyn found herself a job as a barmaid. After all, she had only taken a small bag of coins with her, and nobody knew who she was there. So, she was able to live a simple life, and make choices of her own. This turned out to be something she actually loved, which then made her stay in the end.

So now, she has been living in Moonbright for four years, doing and saying everything she wants to say, while earning her bread by serving drinks and singing songs. Looking for the deeper meaning of life.
