The sun is still high in the sky when you enter the inn. "Hello there traveler, what'll it be- beer, wine or adventure?" The innkeep greets you while they use a cloth to dry their dishes.

Even though you are still a bit hungry you ate on your way here, not knowing when you would find a place to eat. You pick adventure.

"Ah, yes, adventure. Follow me"

You follow the innkeep to the back of the inn where the hallway is lit by candles. There is a small breath of air that makes the fire flicker and shadows dance on the stone walls. Something moves in the corner of your eye."That's just the rats. Can't escape them in this part of town." the innkeep tells you when you turn your head towards the movement. They offer you a piece of freshly baked bread which you eagerly bite into. Forgetting all about the rats you just saw. You feel your energy restoring.

"Eat, adventurer. You have a long road ahead of you." The innkeep watches you. You turn away from the innkeep, grunting something and squint your eyes to find anything, anyone in the shadows behind you. You curse the badly lit hallway silently.

You finish the piece of bread.

You rummage through the chests that are in the back, covered with dust. There is nothing useful for you in there. Old spoons and other useless things. You close the chest again, but notice a tapistry further down the hall. You've seen it in a book, weeks ago.

"Adventurer." The innkeep requests your attention before you can take a good look at it. "Adventure awaits for you, but not here." The innkeep walks back to the cunstomers that are in the inn. You follow them back and welcome the warmth with open arms. It's not quite clear why the innkeep took you to the back yet.

You order a beer and the lamb stew.

A customer covered in scars enters the inn and sits down next to you. Their face seems oddly familiar. You've never been to this inn before. Never visited this town before. They reeks of mud, sweat and strong alcohol already. They watches you like a hawk. The bandit pulls a dagger from their belt and charges towards you, sucessfully throwing you off your chair.


You get up, clutching your side. The barbarian throws a punch at your face and you reach for the beer instead, chugging the alcoholic beverage. The alcohol rushes to your head quickly and you can feel it in your limbs.

Your movements are less controlled now, adventurer!

You use the glass that is still in your hands from your beer to hit your attacker against the side of their head.

You hit them sucessfully.

The man let's out an angry shout and jumps towards you again. You stumble out of the way succesfully and snatches a fork out of the hand of someone that was eating. You stab the bandit with the fork.

It's not very sucessful.

Your attacker tackles you to the ground sucessfully this time and punches you in the face.

You try to get up to eat the lamb stew in an attempt to restore your health points again, but the bandit is stronger. They punches you again. You can taste your own blood on your tongue.

Their hands wrap around your throat, cutting off your air supply.
