Cassandra Mercier

Details

Cassandra looks a lot like her mother, with her wavy red curls and bright smile. Her deep brown eyes are her father's. Exposure to sunlight will pepper her skin with freckles. While not appearing very buff, Cass' muscles are toned, and there's quite some power hidden in her small frame.

While she knows perfectly well how to hide her emotions when necessary, Cassandra is not afraid of showing a smile. Cass wears both dresses and outfits with pants, depending on what is suitable for the occasion. Her regular colours include red, bordeaux, gold and blue.

Cassandra has been brought up in a privileged position but has always been reminded to be kind and compassionate by her parents. She has a somewhat naive view of the world concerning her role in being able to change things for the better. Sometimes a little too sure of herself, she can get into trouble, but when the need arises, she can remain level-headed and calm. Cass loves company and knows how to keep a conversation going, but she doesn't take bullshit and will just as easily cut things off if needed.

Cassandra has been trained in the art of sword fighting by her father from a young age onward; thus, she knows how to handle herself in combat. While her training included many weapon types, she specialised in sword fighting like her father.

The longsword she currently uses is a gift from her father to keep her safe on her travels and it is named Tale Weaver.

In a place far from Odiria, separated by the fast ocean, Cassandra was born to Elayne and Aemon in their hometown of Riverhold. She knew a wealthy and relatively carefree upbringing together with her younger brother and sister. Her mother sparked her adventurous side with the wildest stories and her father taught her how to wield a sword with ease, a perfect combination for future endeavours.

In accordance with local customs, Cass would someday marry the son of her mother’s dear friend, but her parents allowed her one adventure of her own before that. She promised to be back in a few years to fulfil her duty and set off on a ship to cross the ocean to yet untold stories.
