Moving on the music, playing from the gramophone in the room, he walked from one side of the room to the other, gathering things from cupboards and crates. He whistled softly, very much in his element, while he cut of some fat from the meat that he was preparing. Family dinners were easily one of his favorites and the fact that both Camilla as Isabella came, made it even better. Isabella had already pais him a visite, some days ago, but now the family would be complete around his dinner table. He had thought about what he wanted to serve for this dinner, thinking about getting some special kind of meat. But he had settled with something less exotic. Something that he could find in his own backyard without all too much struggle.
He cut some of the vegetables, put them in the water with the stock that he had made previously and watched it boil. With a quick poke, he woke the fire a bit more, but he knew that cooking wasn't rushed. Mortem looked around, focusing his gaze on the stock and shaking his head. He still had a few hours to prepare before the family would be at his doorstep. Something had been bothering him and he wanted to discuss it with at least Camilla. Hopefully she could help him with this predicament.
