Knighthood lies above eternity;

Meet me at the docks. That was what Myrddin had stated right when he had left a few days ago. It did him good seeing the other again. It gave him purpose again even if he still wasn’t sure what his purpose was now. But his little light had retuned and was shining brightly now. It had ignited the small flame within him and that had been what he needed. He still wasn’t quite sure if he would appear at the docks. Mainly because that meant he had to go out on his own. Which still scared him. But the fact that he would see the other again was the thing that would eventually gave him an extra nudge. The mere idea of seeing the other again set of a warm feeling inside his chest. Had it been all he was thinking and talking about the past few days? Perhaps. His father was going crazy about it for sure. But the man let him be. He was happy his son was eating again, was spending time with him again. Things were going to get better, right?

When the day was there Shyam had hoisted himself in a fresh set of clothing. Nothing to flamboyant cause he was still who he was. Just some dark trousers and a lighter shirt with a vest over it. The clothes felt to big due to the fact that he had lost a ton of weight and muscle but he pushed that aside. If anything. This was a new start, no dwelling on the past. However hard it would be. For a moment he glanced at his boots. His father noticing that his son was overthinking it. With some tough love he shoved him out of the door and smirked playfully at the other. Right. Outside. Briefly he had squinted with his eyes adjusting to the light. Before taking a deep breath and walking out into the city he knew so well but felt like a strange place now.

Reaching the docks made him hum. It was busy. Like every other day. And while he was looking through the crowd there was no familiar face that got his attention. Making him scratch the back of his neck uncomfortably. What if he hadn’t shown up? What if Myrddin have another change of heart? Just for a moment he felt like all the air was being sucked out of him, feeling his already pale skin being drained yet again. Until.. A shadow was casted over him from high up above and he quickly glanced up. Lips slightly parting as he stared at the magnificent summon that was flying through the air totally unbothered. A sight for sore eyes.

Almost instinctively he started following the magnificent creature. Keeping an eye on it. Not losing it out of his sight. His heartrate slightly picking up. Right, perhaps he was walking a bit to fast for his body to adjust again. Not that it mattered. He wanted to see him. Now.

❝ I don't know how to feel ❞
Meet me at the docks. Just before dawn.

It had been a promise he had made to his beloved the day they had reunited. And if there was one thing the man was, it was a man of his word. He hadn't slept that night, or any since that day. His mind had been stirring, but not because he was uncertain of his decision or what he wanted to do. No. He was certain of this, of them, and he knew in a way that this was how it was supposed to be. He made him whole and without him, this world didn't carry any colour. So, for that reason, he knew that he wanted tie himself to him. For even forever wouldn't be enough of a promise. He wanted to be everything and beyond, give him all that his hands could carry, all the his shoulders could hold... All for him. His hope, his heart, his love, his beloved. His Shyam. He wanted that his to last, to be real, to be felt, to be more then just a whisper in a bedroom. More than hushed passion shared amongst themselves. And if the world were to see them, let it be hand in hand. Loud and proud. Because being at his side was where he wanted to belong, it's why he had been born. To love him. To adore him. To embrace him. To be his.

He had dressed himself in pure white. A neat button up with silver and blue accents made his figure truly shine. He had decorated with silver jewellery. A pure white pair of trousers that had been decorated with jewels and crystals to form a wave pattern along his right leg. The other side had a little more space and seemed to form feathers, leading up into a wing, clashing together amongst themselves as silver and blue crystals blended into one. The waves rolling into the feathers gave a clear sign that these were tailor made for him. Of course they were. They were suppose to be his wedding pants when he and the lady his mother had arranged for him would finally do all the formalities and what not. It was a beautiful piece that matched the top perfectly. And Myrddin had loved what the creator had done. In a way making the clothing piece a perfect reflection of who he was and what he was supposed to be. But, in his eyes it was him and his roots. His ties back and where he came from. It was him and family. And even if he despised them, he wanted them to be here, in one way or another.

Even though the docks were busy, Myr knew a spot where they could have their peace. The sun hadn't risen again and there was a reason for that. He looked up at his familiar, who was perched on his shoulder. The beautiful bird spread her wings and took to the sky without a second thought. She circled upwards and vanished out of sight. Their beacon... He smiled softly as he took a step back in the alleyway and leaned against the boxes. Counting to ten as he went over what he wanted to say, he turned around and started to walk. Walking through the narrow street, to the other end, where the silence of the night still lingered. His feet carried him further down as the hardened path made room for one made out of gravel. He lifted his gaze, looking out at the beach that had quickly started to unfold before him. Waves calmly rolling up on the sand as moonlight reflected on it's surface. That night had been perfect. He smiled up at the sky and nodded softly. Thank you Lythrana.

He turned slowly when he heard the familiar sound of wings and feathers. His gaze going to his familiar first, before he saw the one she brought with him. A small smile tugged at his lips as he turned his body completely towards him. They still had some distance between one another... And so, he reached out his hand, a gesture for him to come take it. To join him. The moonlight reflecting on the crystals and gems which were part of his outfit. And in that moment, the dark haired man was shining, both on the in and outside. He was his happiness, and that was really noticeable as he looked at him. By the gods, he was perfect in every way. He had missed him, oh so damn much.

'You're here,' he signed at him. As if in disbelief, but also in a way to announce it to the both of them. He really came.

Knighthood lies above eternity;

The outside, it felt weird. The mere idea of going somewhere on his own scared the living hell out of him. Which was the weirdest thing ever. It was very unlike who he had been before. Always up for adventure, the first to run out the door when the need was there. But now, it felt like the weight of the world was placed on his shoulders. Which was all in his head in the end, but he couldn’t help himself. It had been a while to be outside on his own, yet the wind that was gently tugging at his clothes also brought some kind of regained freedom. Truly a new chapter in what was to become of his life. The wind was happily playing around with his thinned out blonde hair, making him groan ever so slightly. While he usually didn’t care about such a thing, he knew that his other half did. Those little things.. Gods how he needed that man.

Once he had spotted the magnificent beast he couldn’t help but smile. Following it instinctively. He truly had a love-hate relationship with the creature. Though he couldn’t really say that he truly hated the being, how could he hate something that was a part of the man he loved? He could never. Fiddling with the hem of his sleeve he kept his eyes on the skies as the animal was guiding him towards the beach. Sand slipping into his shoes almost instantly which made him chuckle ever so softly. A weird sensation truly. After being inside for so long everything felt so out of this world.

It didn’t last too long before he was met by the sound of rustling waves which made him breath out softly. Truly appreciating the calm atmosphere it instantly brought with him. While basically living underneath the water surface it had been a sound he hadn’t heard for quite some time. Yet that wasn’t the thing that took away his breath. Oh no. It was the beautiful specimen dressed in white entirely, hair in stark contrast with the outfit but he looked so perfect in that moment. Lit by the moonlight, truly the stuff one read in fairytales.

When Myrddin reached out he smiled warmly, while he still didn’t truly look like himself, the man had gotten that healthy glow back already. Ever so carefully he reached at the extended hand, taking his and softly squeezing it. Smiling as he stepped closer to the other.

’For you, I’ll do anything.’ He spoke ever so softly, letting the wind carry his words to the other.

❝ I don't know how to feel ❞
Before he knew it, he appeared before him. A smile curled on his face as he reached out for him, a gesture for him to join him. That warm expression on his face was reflected back at him and it made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside. He was happy to see him and so did the other. He knew in that moment that what he was about to do, that that would be the right decision. There was no other right in this world, no other thing he could ask for. And after all, it didn't matter anymore. None of it did. He could do this and be gone with it all, for his decisions and his life had no meaning to the world. All that mattered, was him. And he was at peace knowing that. He had purpose, in a way, to be beside him and to cherish those sweet memories. Together, perhaps, they could heal.

When his hand intertwined with his he slowly stepped closer to him too. Hearing his soft voice he leaned in, laying his head against his shoulder as he brought him into a warm embrace. The celestial bird circling above them, perhaps a dead give away where they were, but what did it care. No-one cared anymore, only they did. Slowly, he leaned back, looking at the man, before leaning in once more. HIs lips gently clashing with his as he let passion dance across his body. It was warm and caring and gently and sweet... And it was everything good he could ever imagine. A chuckle came between the kissing... Once... Twice...

Suddenly, Myrddin took back, his breathing unstable as he tried to catch his breath. Still clinging onto Shyam with one hand. His other found a way to his chest as he didn't seem to feel quite well. It was like something was pressing down on him. His eyes looked down, before looking back at the other. He was holding onto him... But his grip was slipping away. He had no real idea what was happening... But the pain, it was getting worse. His heartbeat felt weird, irregular and his heavy, short breathes were intertwined with sounds of wheezing. The colour of his face drained as his eyes became unfocused. In a few seconds, his consciousness slipped away and his body went limp.

The bird above them went up in flames, some glitters and faint traces of magic remaining. But just as how it's owner had gone limp, so had his familiar vanished as well.
