❝ aut viam inveniam aut faciam ❞
She had gotten word from her birds that her sister had been spotted around the city. At first Eris had pushed the idea of it away, telling her creatures that it didn't matter if she was here and that there were other urgent matters to attend to. But after some rodents even whispered that losely kept secret to her, she had rolled her eyes. Father would want from her to confront the woman, get her back home so that he could have a talk with her. AFter all, he wasn't pleased that his second eldest up and left, deciding to stay in the nothern country without using her hard worked knowledge. The last Eris had heard from her was that her husband had died to a bear attack. It was speculated that she had died as well. But just like other secrets, it didn't take her long to see through it thanks to her animals. They really had eyes and ears everywhere and so, she had them too. It didn't come a surprise that the woman was in Lemuria. After all, where else would she go to? She knew the bear wasn't just some random animal. It had ben her herself who had slaughter the man. The priestess really had never understood the woman. Wielding her magic with so little care, as if she hadn't been raised by the same family as her. A disgrace really and most likely the reason why she was keeping her head low. But by now, she should know that her family already knew. Nothing went by the dark haired lady.
A raccoon had visited her when she was tending to some of the flowers around the temple. The creature with the striped tail whispered her the words she had so desired to hear. Her sister was close by. For a moment, the woman glanced over to the animal, narrowing her eyes before letting out a sigh. So be it. If she was close, it meant she didn't need to leave the holy grounds for long. Something she preffered, as she wasn't one to stray away from her house. The small woman rose to her full length, her greenish gaze going to the top of the giant temple in front of her. The slightest movement of her head being as a signal to the flock of seabirds resting atop of it. As tens, if not up to a hundred took to the sky in an instant. One at a time going upwards as some of them scattered across the sky and some went down to track their master. Eris looked at the display, as if it was common sight to see this many birds together, acting in such harmony. After all, it was her who had asked them and they had simply responded. Her animals, her children. They were the most loyal of all the things she took under her wings.
The high priestess had already started to walk. The soft voices and whispers going through her head as it guided her towards her target. Weaving between people as if it was second nature without even batting an eye towards them. Some of them bowed their head to the woman, others greeting her with more simpler words and gestures. But it didn't matter how they approached her, as she was set on her destination... And she wouldn't stray away from it. And there it was, eventually. Appearing in sights as if it had always bee there. The older sister took a deep breath as she hastened her pace. The seagulls who had been circling above the general area slowly ascending as they landed atop roofs and other places. Their eyes focused on the estranged lady they had only heard tales about. It was ominous how silent these seemingly wild animals were. As they all kept their gazes on the thing their master clearly was after. "Circe," she said, her voice void of any emotions or heavy undertone. "What is your business here?" she came to a halt, folding her hands in front of her. "You aren't here for family, so why are you back?" Her words had always been straight forward, no fancy things to wrap around it. As she didn't feel anything. She wasn't happy to see her, nor was she scared to know she was now a murderer. All she really thought was how she had broken pact. Something her family had sworn by ever since their ancestors. How could she have broken something like that?

Circe Lykaios
The glorious teachers are no use for creatures
After the year went by, Circe had grown restless. Staying in Lemuria as a writer was fine for her, but Moonbright had a way of pulling her in. So she packed her stuff and got on a boat. It was a journey of a day or two. On the trip there seabirds circeled over her head. Some of them acting normal, but others being silent and looking at the crew. Circe knew. Her sister had known for a very long time. Probably longer than she first noticed. A few months after she came back to Lemuria, Circe was standing on a lookout, staring into the sea when a tuna fish split from his group and looked directly in her eyes. Just a split second, before he took off again. Thats when she knew her older sister was watching. She sighed and put her head on her arms, looking forward to going on land again. When on land again she felt nervous. She tried so many reasons in her head to escape this, but none of them sounded very realistic. She walked down the white cobblestone streets with the sea on her left side. When the dunes resided and a wall came in place she noticed the sun didn't shine in her eyes anymore. Circe looked up. What she saw brought her hair on her neck and arms up. She was nearby. The womas turned her head when her name was called. Her sister, beautiful just as she remembered stood there with not even a smile. When she left 10 years ago they had a wonderful relationship. Yes they did fight and Eris always took her duty seriously, but they were close sisters. Now she felt a kind of rift between them. Was she disappointed? Would she be if Eris did the same thing?
"I am never going to marry again," she replied with a hint of humour in her eyes. She was never the sincere sister of the two.

The thing about the high priestess was that she took duty very seriously. The safety of her subjects, the people of Lythrana and their well-being. It was one of the things she once received in a dream and ever since she took it upon herself to act towards it. This meant that she was always on the lookout, seeing that none of her people would be in danger. One of the many examples were the dungeons under her temple. A secret to most with an exception to her father and brother, who had helped constructing the thing a couple of years ago. Back then the labyrinth of hallways was a complex system of caves. And where it still somewhat looked like the place it once used to be, it now had a wide arrange of other things to make it more secure. For lycans who needed shelter during the full moon, or perhaps astray people who had simply lost their mind. But the ones she took the most serious were people like her. People who also belonged behind bars; murderers.
Circe spoke as soon as Eris had finished her sentences. The eldest daughter raised a brow at her younger sister as she tilted her head a bit upwards. Her chin going upwards a few centimeters as she narrowed her eyes. She had never been the best to social interactions and perhaps her family knew the best how lacking she really was. She was intelligent, had powerful magic... She could handle herself for sure, as long as she didn't have to put in some words. It was the whole reason why she preferred her animals. They could understand her in ways that humans never could. And it put her mind at ease. Not that she laid awake at night struggling with the fact that she was a social disaster. No. It was more a fact that sometimes people responded in ways she couldn't calculate or see coming. And then she was just kind of... There. Lost on the spot, with her own complex mind and ever grinding mindset. She didn't understand and, perhaps, she never would.
Eris slowly opened her mouth, not really knowing what the other meant by her words, but she could at least say something. "I don't care," the druid said sternly. "You're not a child anymore, what you want to do with your marriage and love life doesn't concern me," she kept her focus on the woman. She looked so relaxed as she said these words. "But if you do want to have a discussion regarding men, I'm sure father would be more than willing to see you," The old man would be anything but pleased to see his second eldest daughter. Mostly because she had failed the family as she never had walked in his footsteps. In his eyes Circe was sadly a failure. But so be the harsh approval of their dad. He was a hard man to please. "What I do care for, however, is the fact that you have taken another life," she took a step forward, folding one hand over the other as she held them neatly in front of her. "I can't let a murderer just roam this city freely without knowing their intentions," It were cold words, as if they weren't even related to one another. "So I'll ask you again," She narrowed her eyes. "What is your business here?"
