Circe Lykaios

Details

Circe is a beautiful woman. She has short black hair that reaches her shoulders. Her eyes are a very dark umber and are always halfclosed, peering at others. This, her sleek hair and her thin mouth, make her face very judgemental. Her head is always tilted upwards, as if she tries to look down on you. Her height is rather short, but still elegant, as she does have not a lot of curves. Circe is a very atletic woman, constantly training to test her strenght. The training also helps with her posture, that is very upright and arrogant.

HUMAN
Circe her personality can be described as arrogant, brave and bold. She is very focused on her goals in life. She is protective over family and can be very caring towards them, if she has to be. Altough sometimes harsh, Circe is playful. She has a very frolicy behaviour and likes to turn every conversation about herself in such a way nobody notices. As a druid she feels very connected to nature, especially the water and her creatures it holds. That's why, when she graduated university, she moved to Lythrania.

BROWN BEAR
When in her bear form Circe changes a little bit. Her mind becomes more primal. Her caring and loving side rises stronger to the surface. The bear is playful, but fierce and is very wary of danger. She is most content when hunting or swimming.

FORM
From a young age she felt connected with bears, maybe because she was born under those stars. She also loved marine life and therefore choose to transform in a Brown Bear cub. As her body aged, so did the bear. Circe didn't had much interest in other animals. She tried a dolphin before, but not being able to walk on land didn't feel right.

STRENGHTS
She can shapeshift into the bear as long as she wishes. When in this shape she is stronger than normal and can hold her breath longer under water. All the qualities of the bear are also present in her form (for example: excellent smell, endurance, ...).

WEAKNESSES
If she takes on the form of the brown bear longer than 1 day, she will be more primal and wild when changing back in her human self, hyper aware of sounds, aggresive and disoriented.

OTHER ABILITIES
Circe is an excellent shapeshifter, but the other druid abilities are therefore not as developed. She can understand animals to an extend, but cannot communicate with them. She has the best connection with bears, but they are not so common in Lemuria. She doesn't care for potions and weather control and rarely uses these abilities.

Circe Iris Lykaios is born into a very wealthy family. She is the second eldest daughter. Her mother a druid and her father a moon elf, she inherited the druid magic of her mother. However she taught communication with animals was too boring and she felt more connected to being an animal. Her mother wasn't happy with this, as a shapeshifter is more difficult to hide. Especially when she chose a bear and not a smaller animal.

Her father is one of the best architects in Moonbright and pushes his daughter to persue his dream to keep the business in the family. At the age of 18 she goes to the University of Moonbright and in the last year she travels to Ravaryn to do an internship there. Circe fell in love with the kingdom, with the nightskies and the cold weather. She met a young man there and she decided to stay with him in Ishgard after she graduated. She became a writer; Circe wrote speeches for important people, poems and theater plays. Not very often she wrote letters to her family, but her father didn't like that she stayed in Ravaryn.

At the age of 26, her and Nikolai were already married and expecting a child. In the summer a beautiful girl was born carrying the name Eleni. As tradition in her family she gave her a beautiful middle name 'Juno'. Eleni grew up to be a happy child of 1 years old, when disaster struck the little family. She was found dead in her crib, with no apparent cause. Circe was at that time a few months pregnant with her second child. Due to the stress and grief, the child came to soon and died at birth. The couple named her Ava.

A few years went by. Nikolai and Circe's relationship had known a difficult path. It seemed that she couldn't bare any children anymore, losing one after another too early in the pregnancy. Her husband refused to naming the children and the couple had more and more big fights. In the summer, 2 years after Elinis passing, Nikolai broke up with her. She couldn't give him another child, so there was no reason for him to stay with her. Her relationship suddenly felt so hollow. That same night she shapeshifted into her bear form and killed her husband in his sleep, destroying a good part of the house too. She then fled to Lemuria.

She didn't come to Moonbright, but instead got a tiny house in Lythrania. The people of Ravaryn believed she was dead, also killed by the reckless brown bear. She didn't know how to tell her family what happened, so she decided to tell nothing.

A year has passed and Circe now lives a peaceful, quiet life in Lythrania. In the former capitol she is known as Circe or Iris, but she doesn't use her lastname.

- Circe is the godess of sorcery. She would transform her enemies, or those who offended her, into animals.
- As a goddess, Iris is associated with communication, messages, the rainbow, and new endeavors.
- Eleni Juno would be 4 years old now.
- Ava Demeter would be 2,5 years old now.
- She had four more miscarriages wich she named: Bear Apollo (2 mos), Alekso Kronos (7 mos), Niko Eros (7,5 mos) and Sophia Gaia (5 mos).
