Takoda Wiyot Daetrys

Details

Takoda is a typical man from Xaila. He is big and muscular. His build however, is on the lean side and not that broad, but with his size you cannot look around him. Altough his rough looks, a friendly face meets the eye. He has warm, soft features with big dark brown eyes. The only sharpness in his face is his nose. The bow of the nose runs trough the family and he is very proud of it. His sleek mustache and beard complete the looks. Takoda walks with nonchalance, a little bit proud, but mostly attentive looking.

Apart from his appearance, Takoda is seen wearing a lot of bright red colours with a few accents of gold or blue. He is an dedicated armorer, supplying armor, swords, bows and other battle necessities to Al-Qahil. This job comes with a lot of soot and scratches on his face and arms. If he is working in his shop, he wears nothing but pants because of the intense heat. Aside from his job he likes to paint his face and body with natural colours, resembling the desert he grew up in.

Takoda is a warm and friendly man. He cares a lot about his loved ones and is very protective over his wife and children. He is more on the shy side and not that charismatic. Rules, laws, good and wrong are very important for him. He likes to be alone and work for long days, but since he has a family he puts a lot of his time in them. Takoda feels a lot of connection with his magic and nature, taking in all sorts of animals and making paint from all parts of nature. Aside from his many talents he is also a good singer and can play flute.

GENERAL
His mother Winona was a firebender, but his father Dakota used a different kind of Sun Magic. He could create a Solar Aura, a difficult name for creating flames around your own or someone elses body. His son Takoda showed more interest in his father abilities and together they trained from a young age.

Now as a 35 year old man his power is almost pushed towards perfection, but in every magic lies its strenghts and weaknesses. He can create flames around himself or others, burning everything in its path and creating a shield from attacks. On himself he can choose how long these flames stay. With fire there is a risk of burning. He controls how close the flames get to his body, but Takoda is at high risk of burning parts of his body. This risk increases when he creates the flames around somebody else. When creating this flames, it takes energy from him, leaving him weaker or even passing out if he uses this magic for a long period of time.

Takoda grew up in Al-Qahil. His parents were among the noble people in the capital city. Being born in a wealthy family he always had good connections. He wasn't the most rebellious kid or even teen, participating in the business of his father and learning Sun Magic. When he came in his twenties the young man wanted to explore the world more, but got held back by his mother who became ill. He stayed in Al-Qahil, beside his mother, doing his duty in his fathers workshop. In that time he met the crown princess Nymeria. It was time for The Proofing and people were watching her from all over Xaila. As the lion marked her arm he screamed a little bit, together with the other people but for some reason they locked eyes. Just for a second, but he never forgot about it. Later they had a fling, but nervous as he was it didn't go much further than kissing. After that he stayed her friend and protector for a couple of years. He was always a bit jealous of her lovers, trying to cousil her out of these relationships.  Eventually he won her heart and she got pregnant with their oldest daughter Astrelia.

Now he lives with his little family in Al-Qahil and he supplies the army with armor and weapons.
