Minerva Manwë

Minerva is very beautiful, no one can deny that. However, it is also clear to anyone who beholds her. That she isn't exactly a "classic" case. No, if anything she can be classified as more "exotic". Perhaps not so much thanks to her features, who are by all accounts rather standard. Ones you'd find on other pretty ladies. Porcelain skin, thick, yet soft and long raven black hair. Her eyes have a very light color to them, mostly they appear blue. But may change their hue to a light green or gray; depending on how the light falls on them. Minerva is of rather tall stature, and is slender. Her figure being hourglass. 

The thing that makes her stand out from most other women.. Minerva is a very mature woman, both inside as out; she looks much older than she actually is. Though, this is also partially because she holds herself in a manner that would suggest she is greater in age. The wood elf is grace herself. Gliding from place to place, as if she were floating. Her movements are gentle, yet swift. She also has a great air of mystery about her, often Minerva hides her true feelings or emotions behind a veil. Making it very hard to know what her true intentions often are. 

In keeping with her seemingly mystifying nature; she is often known to wear cloaks. With which, she covers most of herself. Not only her body, but also her face. This is mostly for outdoors, however, whenever she is at home or someone else's guest. She actually wears rather flashy clothing. With much jewelry (that she probably shouldn't be able to afford, but still has anyway) Despite that, however, she never really does her hair up in any intricate styles. The woman prefers the more simple; yet classical route when it comes to her locks. Her clothing, even the robes. Are always of the best and most expensive fabrics. (It is also something that she for intents and purposes shouldn't own.)

As stated before, Minerva is a rather mysterious person. She hides her true thoughts and feelings behind a mask. However, that isn't to say that she is hiding something from the world, per se. Behind her mask; she isn't some unfeeling psychopath. She just chooses to keep things to herself most of the time; since she feels that it is simply a smart thing to do. Others can't manipulate you, or take advantage of your feelings, if they don't know what they really are. That and; the more people don't know about someone. The more intrigued they become by that person. It both draws' people in, and keeps them out. Minerva is very tactful, and uses her words very wisely because of this. She is intelligent and well-read, and that quickly becomes evident when one converses with her. However, she never comes across as haughty or aggro ant. The woman speaks in a manner that can only be expressed as "gentle neutrally" she often has a soft smile on her face as she speaks. The woman is generally trustworthy, and doesn't go out of her way to inflict pain out on others. That isn't to say however that she won't if she feels like she has too. Though usually not in a direct manner. But she will do things that go against moral standards or the law if she stands to benefit from it.

From a young age, Minerva trained her magic wood magic in such a way that she was able to make all sorts of plants and herbs grow. It is the thing that she is, to this day; the most proficient in. She can make almost anything sprout out of the earth. If she wills it. Not only that, but she can use her magic to speed up the maturing process for said plant. And even make it bloom several times over. Because of this; she is able to get a lot of value out of a single plant. 

The woman can also use her powers to navigate her surroundings, like if somebody is hiding in the forest from her. Or when something is heading her way. She often uses this power to track down things, like people or herbs growing wild in the jungle. She can only really use this when in nature, like the forest of Avalon. In the city; or similar places without enough green. She cannot use this ability. 

The woman can also manipulate existing flora around her, like vines and alike. However, her bending is very weak. And fails more often than naught. So she mostly just uses that aspect of wood magic for very simple tasks.

The woman is now a very skilled alchemist. She works mostly with liquids. The potions she creates vary greatly in use, some are for one's health. Others for sleep, and others still; for something much less innocent. Like some of the elixirs she produces are poisonous, or flammable. Used for the express purpose to make a fire last longer, or even almost impossible to put out. The woman often sells these potions to contacts she gained while she stayed in Ishgard. She holds her clients' information very private, and never refuses an offer from them. Even if she knows that her elixirs will be used for nefarious purposes. As long as she is well paid; the woman will deliver without question. 

Since a very young age, Minerva had a fascination with taking things, and making something completely new with them. She used to find old things around the house. And reveled in finding new ways to put them together for a new use. However, this fondness quickly started to fade, as the Minvera felt that while she was heading in the right direction, she wasn't quite in the field that she wanted to be in. That is, until her parents tried to combine both her interest and her magic with something that they felt would suit her perfectly; healing. And this seemed to be the right fit for the woman for a very long time. Especially the extracting the liquids out of the plants she grew and mixing them together. Making all kinds of potions and creams used for medicinal purposes. She was first trained by healers in her tribe. However, their knowledge didn't seem to be enough for Minerva, and she soon begged her parents to let her study outside of Avalon.

This request was eventually granted. And at the age of 18, Minerva attended a university in the neighboring kingdom of Ravaryn. She studied in the Capital for a time. At first, she was wholly dedicated to the art of healing. But then she was introduced to Alchemy. And she fell in love with it. This was exactly what she had been looking for all along. And so she changed her course and began learning Alchemy. Her parents weren't happy with this change, as they didn't see much value in the practice. And threatened to pull her out of school. Minerva travelled home in tried her very best to persuade the hunters to allow her to continue practicing the arts. Eventually, by being shone some of the workings of the potions, she made. They agreed. And the woman journey back to Ishgard. To continue her studies.

She quickly became very proficient and was soon noticed by others, who wanted to purchase her elixirs from her. For various reasons. Seeing the money that could be made. Minerva quickly agreed. Slowly but surely, the woman was able to build up a network of willing buyers for herself, making a lot of money in the process. At first, she used this money to better her equipment, then for hard to come by ingredients. And eventually on herself, by buying expensive clothing and jewelry. The requests she received also started to change in nature, becoming much more devious. But the woman didn't care for that at all. Her potions and elixirs can be used for whatever purpose as long if the price is worth it. 

Her time at the university has recently ended, however, and she earned her degree with flying colors. After this, the woman considered staying in Ishgard to continue her enterprises there. But decided against this, and journey home to Avalon. Both because she did dearly miss her family, and the fact that she was much harder to find by those who wished to put a stop to her work in the deep jungle.
