❝ Everything I was afraid of happening, happened ❞
They had told him to keep up with exercises for his prosthetic arm. At first it was quite awkward to move the thing, as he had never had such experience before. But for him it was even more extreme then someone who had lost their arm at some point in their life. He had never had a left arm, so the first few days he hadn't even thought of the fact that he now had a second limb at his disposal. On some occasions he would look at it with confusion, as he sometimes it responded so naturally. Although, it didn't feel natural to him. There had never been something there, so the fact that there was finally something.... It made him very uneasy to say the least. But he tried to refrain from complaining too much, as he knew how expensive these things were. He didn't want to be a burden to his family, especially his father. Charles would be so disappointed in him if he decided he didn't want this anymore. He needed this... Right? To be a perfect boy. To do things that he had never done before.. Right?

As he stared at the prosthetic thing, he narrowed his eyes. He had always been against it, but now it had come so far that he had allowed it. He really didn't like it at all. What if this thing betrayed him, showed the world what he really was. As he slowly moved each and every finger and slowly closed his hand into a fist he sighed. The movements were still very stiff and not fluent. He wondered if they would eventually come around and become as fluent as his real arm. Maybe if he trained more, it would, or maybe only when he had gotten to an age where he finally got his permanent arm. He trembled for a moment at the thought. Permanent. That word was scary to him. It would mean that the thing would never come off again, until... It needed replacements or something. He sighed once more. Maybe, by then, he had really warmed up to the idea of it and his worried mind would have settled down. He could only hope so.

For now, however, he was waiting for the man that had done the procedure. One of the youngest Winters. He was a scary man to say the least, but so were all the Winters. But the others physique was just terrifying. He wasn't looking forward to seeing him today. The man was not only apart of the most powerful family of Ashmoor, he was also just... He didn't trust him. Something that was in great duality with the fact that he had trusted the other with his life back when he underwent the procedure. He had trusted his father, who had told him it would be alright. But the actual practitioner... That was a different story. It really didn't help his case that he looked like someone that could snap him in half. He didn't look like someone gentle, so Isaac rather kept his distance. It was just a gut feeling.
