YOUR SOUL IS FORFEIT.
Ever since their last meeting, Eli had not been able to stop thinking about Faolan.

He told himself it was because he was such an old friend, and the only connection to his past. And due to the loss of his faith, it brought Eli some kind of comfort thinking about him. As if it was okay that he had made the decision to let Renestrae go, because at least he got his old best friend back.

Still, there were moments in the day where his mind wondered to the other and Eli wondered why. It was frustrating, really. Especially when he realized he was counting down the days until he would find a good excuse to meet the other again. If he was being honest, he still didn’t have a good reason. But today he’d woken up especially irritated and he needed his mind somewhere else. Eli didn’t know what he wanted out of his visit. A drink definitely would be nice. And some good company.

The staff at the door let him through. A shiver went down his spine when he realized that they didn’t question it because they recognized him. Something he’d been trying to avoid for ten years. But he didn’t care enough to be worried about it. Let them know he wasn’t dead. Soon enough people would know his name once again anyway.

Eli hated this house. Not only did it remind him of his own home, one that he now lost, it also brought back memories of how unhappy Faolan was in their childhood. It was beyond him why the other still wanted to stay. Not that he would ask. He’d rather not bring up the past at all. Especially not after their last conversation. He’d rather focus on how his friend was seeing the future. Maybe he could get something positive out of it. He found Faolan in his chambers. “I am so sorry to interrupt, but do you have some time to spare for a drink?” he announced himself, not really giving the other the opportunity to say no. Eli was here already, he doubted Faolan would send him away.
DIE.
