The first thing people notice about Leyla is her height: she's quite a tall woman, and she isn't afraid to enhance her slender stature with a pair of high heels. The young woman always has a certain air of regality around her and most of the time, she's dressed in luxurious clothing accesorised with expensive jewelry, reflecting her rather bourgeois background. Another thing that makes Leyla stand out is a collection of small, black-ink tattoos on both of her arms that she will show off with every chance she gets.

Leyla is, above all, a true femme fatale. While the woman may seem shallow and self-absorbed at first glance, she actually is quite intelligent and charming, and a bit of a trickster. That's what her parents thought when Leyla was born - their first child and first daughter, the heiress to the fortune the Iskandars had meticulously crafted over the centuries. While her parents were able to afford her multiple teachers and mentors to provide a thorough education, Leyla was more interested in the pleasures of life - parties, clothes, jewellery (diamonds are a girl's best friend, aren't they?) and a series of romantic flings with no strings attached.

A true blessing that went on for years, until Leyla turned twenty-seven. As her father's health slowly declined because of a mysterious, seemingly untreatable illness - a secret no one outside the family and their family doctor knows about - he urged his oldest daughter to become more interested in the family business and went out to search an acceptable husband for her daughter, determined to pursue the Iskandar dynasty. While Leyla promised her father that she will try and become a proper heiress to the family business, she has a hard time adjusting to the sudden weight of the immense responsibility on her shoulders and dreads seeing her father grow weaker with each passing day.
