Oceiros Morwyn

Details

Oceiros is a man of average height with a lanky build. He has the body of an athlete, well adjusted to life in the outdoors and always on the move but lacking any real muscles for activities that require more stamina and muscle mass, like sword fighting. He dons a modest beard that he trims. His brown curls are usually a bit messy. Depending on when you meet him in your life, he may look and smell like a traveler who has been on the road for a week. He dons a simple tunic and pants and leather boots that are all well worn. He carries an axe for wood cutting and a small dagger for cutting rope and such. He keeps both weapons in pristine condition since he needs those on a daily basis during his travels.

Oceiros is a pacifist at heart and a massive coward. He avoids conflict at all cost and tends to stick to his own principles and morals at all times. While he does not mind his own company, the years of living in relative solitude have had an impact on his mental well being. His social skills are a bit lacking, missing social cues and getting anxious in large crowds. He dislikes loud noises and can come across as aloof. But his heart is in the right place and he is rarely in a bad mood. Ever curious about the world and its wonders, he travels the region with the intention to gain more knowledge about all cultures. He has a disdane for true believers of the deities and, depending on the mood of  the conversation, will voice this openly.  

*Oceiros has not practiced this type of magic for close to a decade and has lost any skill he had with it.

Oceiros’ family were proficient dark mages, disguising this under other types of magic and secrecy in order not to be prosecuted by the state. His twin sister and younger brother were skilled mages in their own right. Their mothe was an expert with spells and their father proficient with dark alchemy. Both skills were passed down to their children, drilling them relentlessly and training them harshly to harness this power.  Oceiros hated their practise and was unmotivated to try and learn. His father eventually took over his training entirely to try and force the boy to learn. Its a dark page in his past that he likes to forget. When he left his family at the age of 21, he stopped using the magic completely and has sworn to never use it again. Prefering a life without any magical abilities/

Oceiros was born into nobility with his parents being from a wealthy house in the upper class of Ravaryn. Oceiros and Ocelotte were revered as the twin prodigies. Unlike his sister, Oceiros was not as inclined to learn magic and not nearly as skilled. Even while under strict training Oceiros fell behind. He was often forced to stay inside and practice until he could do it, while his sister was allowed to play outside. Oceiros did not hold the same beliefs as his family about patrons and their deity and has since renounced them all together, favoring his own beliefs and outlook to the world. His younger brother showed an equally impressive aptitude to magic, rivaling that of Ocelotte. Their father loved Ocelotte dearly, but with his first born son dissapointing him at every turn, he began to focus his attention on his second son. Drilling him rigorously to become strong and smart. Stronger and smarter than his first born son that he quickly began to despise.

Oceiros left his family home once he turned 21. A scandal involving him and a man from another prominent house threatened to leak, soiling the reputation of both houses. The other house demanded retribution and Oceiros’ his father banished his son from the city, telling everyone that he was dead and even hosting an extravagant funeral to reinforce the lie. The only ones who knew the truth were his father and his older brother. Even Ocelotte was lied to. Oceiros fled the city with only his horse. Dodging assassins and bounty hunters alike for the next ten years.
