Orpheus Florakis

Orpheus is a very slim, weak looking man. Rightly so, as he doesn't have a lot of strength, nor does he need that. Considering he doesn't have too much money, he wears what he expect from a poor farmer. Orpheus usually has his lyre with him, as he doens't like leaving it behind.

He could make you see how the world could be, in spite of the way that it is.

Orpheus is naive. He sees everything through rose tinted glasses, believing that if you put enough kindness into the world, the world will eventually give it back. He sees the best in people and believes there's good in everyone. He's the most optimistic optimist, and wouldn't even hurt people if they hurted him. It makes him an easy target, but also a nice person to be around.

Orpheus specifies in flowers and plants. He can grow them, help them become healthy, and extract powerfull potions from them. Although he doesn't focus on the last part. He mostly uses his druid magic to make sure his flowers grow, so they would be easier to sell. Sometimes Orpheus uses his powers for weather manipulation, but he's not nearly as good at that. Using his magic comes with a drawback however. Considering he uses his magic ability to give other things life, he gets exhausted quickly if he does it for too long.

Orpheus was supposed to be born out of love.

That was until his father died before he even got a chance to meet his son, however. Struck with grieve, Orpheus' mother couldn't look at her son and feel love.

So, through no fault of his own, Orpheus was raised without love.

When he was 10 years old, his mother abandoned him for another life. His uncle took him in, feeling bad for the boy and in need for an extra hand to help around on the farm. Besides, he liked to hear the boy sing. Because despite his loveless childhood, Orpheus seemed to have a gift for singing about it. He knew how to live gently, taking nothing for granted, being kind to everyone despite what they did to him. Harry admired this in him, and took him in. The next few years of his childhood were the happiest he had ever been. His uncle grew and traded flowers, specifically delivering it to the upper and middle class of Alderrath, and Orpheus found his passion in growing something so delicate and beautiful. When his uncle died, Orpheus took over his business, not being able to say goodbye to something he loved doing so much.

Despite his love for his craft, his real passion would be music. He wanted to be a poet, a musician. He didn't care if that made him poor or that he could never be part of the richer parts of the city. Orpheus believes he was put in the world to spread kindness and love through song, and that if he succeeds wealth beyond coin would follow.
