Pre-Birth

• Being from a family close to that of the Winters, Kingsley Hyon immediately offered himself a candidate to the secret researching of Odirian magic. Undercover, he would travel towards Xaila to research and study sun-magic.
  
  
• Fast forward within his Xailan adventure, he eventually met a woman. Esmeray Zinyra was the outcast of an important family within the kingdom, as she described it. Finding both love and purpose within the undercover, elite Ashmoorian, the two of them fell in love.
  
  
• As soon as he heard she was with child, something within the man changed. As if he had suddenly realised what he had done. Having a child with an Odirian woman he did not marry. How more contrary could he possible be. While holding up his act towards the woman he loved, he left the kingdom not long after the child was born. It was the hardest thing he had ever done, but some weird, extreme feeling of guilt hade forced him into taking actions he didn't actually stand behind.
  
  
• Instead of leaving the child within Xaila, he decided to take her with him. However, this was far from a rational descicion. He didn't think it through at all. One night, the feelings overwhelmed him, clouding his mind with guilt and panic. Without thinking, he was back on his horse, heading home, his flesh and blood taken with him.
  
  
• Back home, he devoted himself entirely to the mid-winter deity, in hopes of being able to cleanse himself of his sins. He now invested most of his earned wealth within the church and even invested within the founding of a new convent.
  

Childhood

• For most of her childhood, little Victoria was unaware of the fact that she was born within Xaila, living a regular, upper-class life by the side of her now strictly religious father. Growing up without a mother, she had a maid which took her under her wing most of the time.
  
  
• Because of her father's obsession with Renestrae, Victoria has been attending the church for as long as she can remember. She'd pray within the church, before every meal and each night before she would fall asleep.
  

Teens

• As Victoria grew up to be a teenager, not much seem to change. The older she grew, however, the more she started questioning the faith of the midwinter deity. While keeping it a secret from her father and still playing along with his ideals, Victoria started to search for her own meaning behind faith.
  
  
• Things changed, when she once found an old journal of her father hidden away within a cabinet in his office. Filled with disbelief and surprise, she eventually read about his adventures through Xaila, something he had never told her. Eventually, near the end of the journal, she read about Esemeray. This changed her perspective on life froever. For all of these years, she had lived within a lie. She did have a mother. The last pages within the journal were torn off, so she never actually read about the part where her father stole her away.
  
  
• Left with questions about why, how and when she was taken from her mother within Xaila, she continued her life as if nothing happened. Scared for his reaction, she never told her father about the journal.
  

Adulthood

• As Victoria strayed further and further away from the faith she once held dear, her father still did not have a clue about what was going on within his daughters life. She began to push her boundaries, rebelling against the midwinter deity's laws. She also started her research of Xaila's patron deity, Xeion, and the secrets behind sun magic.
  
  
• It was then when she came across a high class night club, hidden within a side alley of the upper ring. After frequent undecover visits, taking in the beauty and elegance of the dancers, she felt like she had finally found her passion. She got hired, and started performing at nights under the stage name and role of "The veiled Xailan priestess".  Dressed fully within brightly colored veils, her appearance remains anonymous to the public, thus starting her double life.
  

The present

• Only recently, her father has promised her hand to Matthew Winter, an influencial figure within Ashmoor. With her engagement planned, perhaps she has to say goobye to her dancing passion.
  

• Ever since practicing sun magic, Victoria has been wearing gloves everywhere but at her nightly job. This way, she hides the burn scars on her palms and fingers.
