[FoF] Heir Apparent

Vincent looked over the ballroom, with the different couples dancing in a rhythmic swaying dance that made him think of waves upon the open ocean. It did feel like an ocean of people in the palace. The festivities were lively, as he had expected, but he did not expect the palace to get this packed this quickly.
Vincent maneuvered his way through the masses, holding his wine glass high in the air to not bump it into anyone. He also did not want to stain his new doublet. As he was making his way through the masses he noticed a figure through one of the palace windows, standing on the balcony. Deimos Vylasar was standing on the balcony, looking at the city bellow. Vincent quietly made his way onto the balcony through the frost-coated glass stained balcony door. The cold air was nipping at his nose, causing him to chiver before he regained his composure.
“Quite the view isn't it?” Vincent said with a gentle smile. “I do believe I have to greet you anew, heir apparent Vylasar.” Vincent added with a courteous nod. A lot had changed regarding the young Vylasar since last he saw him. He wasn't a drifting painter not knowing what to do with himself anymore, that choice was made for him now. He now was the heir apparent to a governing noble house.
