Xander Thatcher

You might not be that impressed when you pass Xander Thatcher on the street, aside from his blindingly good looks. He blends in easily if he so desires, but when he wants you to see him, he turns into someone that knows what he's doing and shows it. He isn't the tallest or strongest, but his demeanor demands respect when he slides into his role as the leader of his organisation Robins Crest, which is at every waking moment of his life. He appears with his jet black hair mostly pushed back, but changes it up with loose or wavy locks every now and then. You will probably see him in a neat suit or clothes that fit within the lower rings of Alderrath. His dark brown eyes look calculated into the world with a slight frown that is almost permanent on his face. Eventhough Xander doesn't smile often, he shows his almost sickening (but sexy af) smirk frequently. The message he wants to convey is pretty clear: you don't want to be on his bad side.

It is difficult to get to know who Xander Thatcher really is. He keeps a lot to himself and doesn't like showing others his emotions, desires and dreams. What he does on a day off, alone in his home or out and about, is a question for a lot of people. He comes over as reserved, calm and calculated, and Xander likes to keep it that way. Of course, he is just that. But there is more to him than the facade he keeps up with other people around.

Xander is most of all motivated by his past. This, of course, shows in his work as succesfull leader of his organisation called Robins Crest, but how deep his motivation truly runs is something he likes to keep hidden. Getting emotional in front of his peers won't be a good look, so he will remain calm untill there is no one around to witness how his anger, sadness, grieve and regret get to him. Even his most trusted and best friends rarely see him shaken up. He is someone that keeps his emotions bottled up untill there is no more room for them.

When he does find a day to relax to a certain extent, since Xander won't ever be truly relaxed, he finds himself enjoying a good whiskey in the comforts of his home, or the lounge of the organisations headquarters The Rounds. He likes to play cards once in a while and sometimes engages in his mates' fun on a good night.

His run as succesfull leader of his organisation is proof of his relentless motivation and the things he will do to get where he wants to be. Mutual respect in the organisation is key and he makes it clear not to cross him. He has proven time and time again the sometimes cruel things he can do to enemies. Xander is cunning and easily manipulates for the purpose of his organisation; his own purpose in life. Xander Thatcher is someone who will do everything in his power to fight to the end for his purpose in life, which he put the pressures of it on himself.

As from a young age, Xander Thatcher is involved with the outlaws and the crime organisations of the lower rings of Alderrath. Both his father and mother were a part of this, raising Xander into it. The little kid didn't know better and enjoyed the feeling of power and safeness that the organisation gave him. He played with the children there, making up their own little schemes and heists, wanting to live up to their parents. Xander however, mostly looked up to his 5 year older sister Robyn, with whom he was the closest.

Xander had already made a decent name of himself when he reached the age of 17. He was good at manipulating and calculating his steps, stealing from the rich. When the adults were planning a heist, Xander insisted on coming along. He wasn't allowed by his parents, telling him he wasn't ready yet, which had angered him. He wanted to proof he was good enough for it. His sister Robyn, who had agreed with their parents, was the one being able to make sure he didn't make a scene. Xander, still being angered after they left, made the final decision to sneak after them to help with the heist. And then it went wrong.

While the accident, betrayal, or whatever it was that made the heist go south wasn't Xanders fault, there was something he only has himself to blame for. Most of the members of the organisation, his parents included, were arrested. Xander, not experienced enough yet and careless because of the thrill of the situation, was spotted by the police. While he was being held, a dagger on his throat, ready to be arrested as well, Robyn appeared to rescue him. Making use of the confusion, Xander ran away. Untill a loud scream made him turn around. To his grave horror, Xander saw his sisters body fall limp on the ground, bleeding from the stabwound the officer had inflicted on her. His flight instinct kicked in then, and he ran away for good, leaving his sisters body in the upper ring.

The organisation, and with it his family, was wiped away. Xander was left with barely anything. His motivation to take revenge on the people of the upper ring was born, and with it his perserverance to build his own organisation from the ground up, naming it Robins Crest, after his late sister. He had the help of another kid being left without parents and the safety of the organisation, Nicholas Gallagher. Together they spent years working and thieving for money so that they could rebuild the old bar Nicks father had owned. After some years, they renovated it to its current headquarters, calling it The Rounds. While Xander takes up his role as the leader, Nick becomes his trusted right hand and friend. Now he is the succesfull leader of this organisation, forcing his way into the upper rings without being seen.

While he blames the upper ring for the arrest, he can't help to blame himself for his sisters death. If he had listened to his parents and Robyn, she might've still been alive right now. It is something that's been eating at him from the moment he had heard her scream, fueling his anger and motivation to take revenge for years, while he climbs higher and his reputation grows bigger with each passing day. Only Nick knows his true reason for this, since he is the only one who knows about his sister.
