Golden hour

Everything appeared to be colder down here, the blue hues of the ocean did not give them much warmth down here, and neither did the sun whose rays were too weakened to bestow them with any of its heat. It was very different from her stay in Xalia, where only evenings tended to cool down. She had been so lucky to not leave there with permanent sun damage to her skin, as over there, the flaming light was unforgiving to those not prepared for it. And coming from Lythrania was not exactly the best in terms of preparing to withstand the sun since down here- it barely reached.

Yet she found warmth down here in different ways- down here she had family and friends. She had her room, where she had made sure to let the window pains be tainted in a beautiful gold to mimic the light of the sun. But most importantly- no matter how far her wanderlust led here- this was her home. And upon seeing her second cousin, she was once again reminded of the fact before her mind could fall back onto fantasizing about far away lands again. She smiled, hurrying up to her "Chaska! Hey!" She hadn't seen her ever since she got back from her first expedition. Another person she had to greet, update and chat with. "It has been so long! How have you been?" she asked curiously once reaching her side.
