Empire

It was evening, yet it was not so late that darkness had already fallen on the underwater city. In which she now resided. It wouldn't be long, though, but she still had some time to kill before then. Time, the woman had decided to spend outside, in the courtyard. Practicing her spell casting. It was something Catherine never thought she'd ever do. Her family had always stayed far away from magic of any kind. So much so that they even developed a sort of vendetta against it. Yet, as was typical for her family; these feelings were quickly put to one side when a very prestigious opportunity presented itself. A marriage alliance between her and Myrddin, that strange little man she had met all those moons ago. Catherine had never thought she would ever be linked to the quiet, unassuming man. But here she was. Her parents had arranged the whole thing, they were never one to let a good deal like this one go. Since the Vylasars were a very important family, with wealth, good standing, and an entire city under their rule. And Myrrdin was heir to it all. One would be crazy not to agree to a proposal like that. On advice from her family members, she had decided to embrace magic. She could never preform like her soon-to-be in laws. But she could do something similar, in the same vain. Even if it was just to ingrate herself with them. Catherine spoke some words from the rather heavy book she was holding onto. And something did happen, a faint Illusion. Yet it was barely even visible. It wasn't what it was supposed to be. But it definitely was an improvement from last session. All that practice really did pay off. The noblewoman closed her book when, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed an all too familiar woman approaching her. "My lady Vylasar" Catherine began polity as she bowed her head out of respect. "What can I do for you on this fine evening?"

Evening had fallen and some peace and quiet had returned to the castle. Aurelia had kept herself busy after speaking with both her son and Ezekiel. The paperwork that had stacked up was slowly disappearing. It brought some ease in her mind. It also gave her something else to think about than the fact that the two boys had gone at it while she had been gone. Like mere animals. They had downgraded themselves and she was left with all the mess. The audacity of it all. After a little while she put down her quill and got up from her chair. Walking up to the window and looking outside over the courtyard. Where she spotted none other than miss Vasilevsky. Interesting.

The blonde had decided to leave the work for what it was. Locking her office behind her and making way downstairs. Her arms folded behind her back while eventually appearing on the courtyard. Immediately being spotted by the young blonde woman. A short nod followed in her direction. ’I saw you from in my office. Thought it was time for a proper chat.’ The woman simply stated, blue eyes finding that of the other. Wondering what would be going through her mind right now. ’Do you find everything to your liking here?’
