Details

Damian is a fairly good looking guy, with his wavy and unkept brown hair that he keeps in a pony tail the moment he's working, and his deep brown eyes. With the light stubble on his chin, he has a cute and almost innocent appearance. He's not extremely tall with only 1.88m, but with him standing straight, he might seem a bit stern. He likes to wear whatever is comfortable, but he will have a white coat over his clothes whenever he's working. However, whenever he's with someone of higher status, royal, noble, anything, he'll slick his hair back and don a white suit. He will also lose his stubble and fix his posture.

Damian is a relative timid person. He doesn't want to be in the spotlights nor get any fame for what he's doing. He just wants to help people. A good example is how he thought he wasn't good enough for his at the time girlfriend and talked himself down. Most of the time he doesn't want to help himself, just others. Damian is also a very self-destructive person, as he has some unresolved trauma. This makes him unable to move forward and fuels his desire to help other people with their troubles.

Damian is a gifted illusionist. He uses his magic to be able to 'change' the cognition of his patients. Basically, he places a mental illusion to help them with trauma's or mental illnesses. He can make use of his magic by either work it in potions or enchant objects and for the more difficult illusions he will bring his patient to sleep, so they won't notice him using his spells. He can uphold multiple lower ranked illusions on people, but bigger illusions (like erasing someone from someone's memory) only work for two days max, people have to come back for recuring visits for check ups and renewals. Damian is no moon elf, which means that's pretty exhausted at the end of a work day because he used up most of his magical capability for that day. After a very busy day, he has to take off the next day to recharge. His work would be easier if he was closer to the source, which isn't a possibility. Damian's illusion have no combat power, meaning that in a fight he's pretty useless. This can also count as one of his weaknesses. He also had some training in healing, but he was never very good at this. He can, however, heal small cuts and bruises. One of his more noticeable weaknesses is that his magic works best on mentally unstable humans, people with traumas and the likes. He has way more difficulty with magical beings like druids, merfolk, sorcerers & elves, because their mental state is mostly more stable. This is also the reason why he works in the lower ring of Alderrath.

Damian's childhood started easy enough. His father was a practiced moon mage and had come from Moonbright to life with his wife in Alderrath. Keeping his magic hidden, his in-laws found in him the perfect heir for their fortune. It wasn't that much, but enough for a comfortable life in the upper ring. After his in-laws passed on, he and his wife took over the family home and shortly after Damian was born.
The kid showed interest in his father practice from a young age. Now that the in-laws were no more, his father was free to practice his magic again. Even thought it was only within the house. He was a medical man and used small pieces of his healing abilities to help cure patients quicker. When Damian was five years old, he was sent to his grandparents in Moonbright to go and study to become a moon mage, while his family told people in Alderrath that he was sent to Glimmerhollow for health reasons. He spent almost twenty years here to practice his magic and become proficient with illusions. He was a studious child and learned quickly, he asked a lot of questions and got bullied a fair bit for his good grades. His magic was strong, however, even if it didn't have any battle power. He was strong in the form of control and that made him dangerous enough. Once his magic schooling was on a downlow, he also started to work for his medical degree. As he wanted to step in his father's footsteps.
Damian was just twenty three when he returned from Moonbright and with the help of his parents and their money, he opened a shop in the lower ring of Alderrath. He wanted to open it especially here, so he could help people from all ages and occupations. He wanted to show that everyone could have easy access to such help. Damian's life took a turn once he met a beautiful girl names Azalea. The young man fell with all his being for the younger girl and spent the next two years to get her to notice him. And once she finally did, he couldn't be more happy. For a year they were happily together, until the dreaded moment when Azalea's father died and she resorted to drinking. Damian did what he could to help her, but nothing seemed to help. She got into an accident shortly after and ended up badly wounded. In the hospital Damian made the mistake of speaking about her family, which triggered a breakdown in her. The doctors told him afterwards that it was better if he would disappear from her life. And thus, with the ring he had in his pocket, ready to propose to her, he left the hospital.
Damian never really worked with this trauma of his own and decided to keep it deep down. He used it to fuel his desire to help other people and hope that one day everyone can life in a world were everybody is happy. This is his ultimate goal.
