William Villiers

Details

The man takes pride in his looks, aware that he is a representation of the Villiers name. Just like his siblings. He has an athletic build, light colored skin and brown hair. Often enough he is clean shaven, though from time to time his sideburns end up showing on either side of his face. Depending on his state of mind, he either immediately shaves them off or trims them slightly or completely.

His chin has a dimple in the middle which is probably one of the most distinctive features about him, often he has been told that his eyes are very expressive. Which doesn’t completely add up with his more distant demeanor. It’s safe to say that the man often turns head when he enters a place, not only because of how he looks but also because of his tall stature.

Clothing

William always wears tailored and expensive clothing. Which makes him appear proper and well put together. As a business man must look like. He often sticks to darker colors like black or a navy blue. He is always neatly dressed, except when he is busy with his hobbies.

William is the eldest son of the Villiers family, which means that the responsibilities now carried out by his father and grandfather will become his one day. Which is part of what drives him to be so focused on his work, though his focus on his work is actually some kind of coping mechanism as well to deal with the pressure that lies on his shoulders. He is a very traditional man, though he understands that the world is changing around him. He tries to change with it.

While some may see him as emotionally distant from everything, deep down the man cares. He cares for his family, for his friends. He wishes them the best in life and often tries to help them. At times it could be seen that he could be forcing his own decisions upon his family, which works kind of isolating for him. But it is something he tries to better himself in. Live and let life. But that’s harder than it seems. Though nonetheless he is a very kind man, wanting the best for everyone.

When it comes down to love, William is only interested in the chase. Commitment isn’t something that scares him, he knows that it’s his duty to marry at some point. Not something that he minds, he sees it as an obligation to the family. Looking more for a wife than a lover. Though he is a very charming man and loves to give the other sex all the attention they deserve.

One of his biggest flaws is probably his temper. Something he tries to grow out of, but again it ain’t that easy. He is extremely stubborn at times. Yet when you push his buttons in all the wrong ways, one better make themselves scarce. Because they will have hell to pay.

"AS ONE, WE RAISE OURSELVES HIGHER"

As the family names states it, together they raise each other. William is a man that puts family first. He will do anything for his siblings and relatives. While being very family orientated, even with his family he still has difficulty with showing his true emotions from time to time. Though being around them, makes him feel more at ease with himself. They provide a safety net for him, which at times he does need more than he will ever admit.

As a banker he has a lot of knowledge about the financial system within Ashmoor. He is not only a banker, but also a financial advisor to their clients and a businessman. Having funded numerous endeavors of others that turned out pretty lucrative over the years. The reason why he is so successful is thanks to the name he carries and the impeccable work the man does.

A two-handed broad sword carefully forged for William. The sigil of the family was placed on the hilt of the weapon. William is extremely skilled in handling this particular blade, also having the physique to handle it.

Childhood

The first son of Anthony and Amelia Villiers. The one who would inherit it all when both their patriarch as his own father would perish. As the first born child was a boy, his parents were overjoyed. He grew up, having everything a young child could desire. He was raised with perfect manners and was granted the best education. From quite early on it proved that mathematics was one of his fortés in school. Something that would only grow over the years. He was the typical boy, doing everything what was expected of an aristocrat.

William had a strong predilection for anything that was sports related: fencing, horse-back riding, sword fighting, swimming. So aside from his education, that was one of the things that kept him busy. A healthy outlet for all the energy that was pent up in his body.

Teenage years

While growing up being the oldest made him the example for his siblings, he had to behave at all times. Which wasn’t something he necessarily succeeded in. Often he sought out extremes, he would always be fairly punished which he accepted as well. But the rebellious streak was certainly there. While he had already learned about the bank, he saw more of the inner workings during his teens. Developing a taste to know more about it. For him it was already made up that he would go work in the bank, so he wanted to know everything. Often asking his father about certain matters. Even going to Albert Villiers from time to time.

Next to the matters of the bank, his education was also continuing as well. While he wasn’t an A-grade student. He always tried to do his best in everything. Often enough the young man charmed his way out of an assignment or out of trouble. Be real, with a face like his who would deny him anything?

Adolescence

With getting to a certain age, certain romantic proposals fell in his lap. William had never truly considered himself as a person remotely interested in love. But what did interest him was the chase. The adventure of doing certain things with others that weren’t necessarily allowed from the Faith.  But it was that thrill that sent him into certain flings, they never did last longer than a few weeks or days.

As his education came to an end, he started working in the bank. At a junior level first off course, but he quickly rose up. Making a name for himself in the bank, but also as an investor and later on as an advisor as well. One thing he always did was perform an investigation before he actually did invest anything. Because he had to be entirely sure.

Now

William is still focussed on his job. Though he knows that the chance of an arranged marriage is getting more realistic than anything else. Something he isn’t necessarily fond of. But he knows it's his duty, so he will marry someone. Eventually.
