i've lived my life both good and bad,
definitely not as light as a feather
Tonight the most important night of the year would commence: the Twilight Ball. By all means it felt like Ishgard was in the calm before the storm. Despite everything that had happened this year, she had allowed herself to enjoy exploring the markets of Raanan. It was mostly a duty for her to go, but that didn't mean she couldn't bask in the atmosphere. However, as night would soon fall, she felt herself wandering the castle in a chilling anticipation of tonight.

The Princess knew very well she should try to indulge in delight tonight. Not only for her own good, but also for that of the country. If anyone were to see the anguish she had felt these past moons as everything returned to normal, they'd worry. And that couldn't happen tonight. But it remained difficult not to think about the loss of her brother, as tonight would be the first real celebration the county would enjoy without him. A sigh slipped off her lips as she looked around the hallway. She had ended near an altar for Raanan, decorated by tapestry that depicted the deity's glory. If only Raanan could tell her what to do, how to feel. But such trivial matters as a princess' inner struggle weren't the main concern of a deity that had to rule and guide their entire world.

born an angel, heaven-sent
falls from grace are never elegant
There weren't many occasions which could make the High Priestess' heart race. The woman liked to think of herself as a calm and collected individual, always prepared for whatever situation she'd allow to be thrown her way before alchemizing it into something to be used within her advantage. This was the way she managed to build her life into the one she was living right now. She'd take a weakness, whether it would be her own or that of someone else, and forge it into something useful.

As if Raanan wanted to praise her for this ability, he presented her with something likewise, tonight, just as the festival of frostcrown was about to start. He had granted her an opportunity, delicately served to her through her daughter's eyes like a five course meal. It was the clearest vision Alyssia had the honor of being gifted to far. Something that couldn't be interpretated other than what Alyssia had described to her, both through symbolism and short, detailed scenes.

The crown of Ravaryn was being drenched in blood, painting the snow around it a crimson red as three, dead crows surrounded the jewel.

Of course there had been more, but this description had been enough to for her to guess what was trying to be made clear to the young sorceress. The signature sound of her heels clacking against the castle's flooring announced her entrance as she stepped through the hallway. Although the royal family usually took her requests to see the King quite seriously, she could imagine it to be quite the challenge to speak to him today. The festival of frostcrown was quite the event, but she deemed her vision to be of more importance than any festival preparation. A bold, but earned claim on King Orion's attention.

However, it seemed like his majesty wasn't the one destined to be the first pair of ears this news would travel to. Camilla's gaze fell upon the Princess, standing across one of the altars spread throughout the castle. Judging from afar, the youngest daughter of the Ylindar's seemed to be lost in thought. Taking a moment to gather her own thoughts as well, the silver haired woman softened her pace as she approached her. "Good evening, Your Royal Highness," her voice sounded soft, as if it would be able to control the damage that her words would cause. It wasn't like she inherently cared about the royal family or any of its members, but if she had to have a weakness for one of them it would have to be young Arianna. Whether it was because the Princess was a dear friend to her world, Alyssia, or that sometimes, she even meant to recognize a spark of her own characteristics back when she was a girl. Being a Princess, the girl carried a weight a normal child couldn't begin to imagine. And even though being the oldest daughter of a sorcerer wasn't quite comparable, she couldn't help but to relate to carrying unwanted burdens at a young age.
