The Ashmoor district is by far the most advanced area within the realm of Odiria. Technology wise, they are many steps ahead of the rest of the realm. While Odiria's original inhabitants have the ability to wield magic, the Ashmoor District prides themselves in their steam-powered soceity. Ruled by the iron fist of the aristocratic Winter family they've managed to start their own, small empire. Both Odirians and magic are forbidden within the district. These laws are strictly enforced and aren't taken lightly. Especially by the church.
Ruling Family
The ruling family of Ashmoor has evolved from the strong and influential Winters. Through the years the information of how and why the Winters came into power has gotten lost, but there is no doubt that they are the rightful rulers. That they make sure of. They keep a tight hold on the people of Ashmoor, making sure that things run smoothly and no one steps out of line. They are not cruel, but have a very strong vision for Ashmoor and are certain that theirs is the only way for the district to reach its full potential. The current leader is Edward Winter, who is married to Cassandra. They have only one child, and therefore their daughter Alison is next in line to take over power.

Cities
Alderrath
Capital city
The Ashmoor District's capital city, Alderrath, is home to the aristocratic, ruling family and consists of four rings. The first and outmost ring is for the Working Class citizens, the second ring for the Middle Class and the most inward ring for the Upper Class. All of this is surrounded by the fourth ring, the Agrarian Ring. It is allowed for citizens to visit other rings, but it's almost never appreciated. Alderrath is by far the biggest city in the district, and slightly bigger than the average capital city of the kingdoms.

Currently ruled by the Winter Family
Dawnmire
City
Beside the Sanguine Sea lies the city of Dawnmire. Quite the small city in comparison to Alderrath, and not as developed as the capital as well. Nonetheless, the people of Dawnmire would not complain. The sea provides them with their main diet, fish. The city consists mostly of fishers, farmers and miners. Not many Upper or Middle Class citizens would be found here beside the family of the currently ruling Baron. The Dawnmire mines are the most popular among mineworkers nowadays, as the other mines within the district are starting to shown signs of resources becoming scarce.

Currently ruled by Baron Grimaldi
Glimmerhollow
City
Once part of Lemuria and a small, humble village territory, Glimmerhollow has sprouted from the ashes of its destruction. Not too long ago Ashmoor claimed this territory due to the several mines full of needed resources that were started to become scarcer within their own mines. The small city has earned its name thanks to the blue, glowing crystals that lighten the paths within most of the mineshafts. Ashmoor has started to harvest these as well, in hopes of finding a way to find out if they're a source of magic.

Currently ruled by Baron Eckhart
Villages & Other places
Oakbrook
Village
Amidst the idyllic grasslands of Ashmoor lies the village of Oakbrook. Located in close proximity to the bustling capital, this village offers a delightful escape for those seeking a respite from city life. It provides an ideal setting for exhilarating horse races that captivate the hearts of Alderrath's residents. Rustic cottages and cozy inns dot the village, offering warm hospitality and a chance to savor the local charm. Whether witnessing the exhilaration of horse races or immersing oneself in the serenity of the surrounding landscapes, the village offers a harmonious blend of excitement and tranquility.
Old Aston
Village
At the end of the Iron Way lies the village of Old Aston. Nestled beneath the majestic backdrop of the Ancient Mountains, the picturesque village exudes an undeniable charm. This idyllic hamlet, still within the embrace of Ashmoor's grasslands, is a haven where time seems to stand still. As one wanders through its quaint streets, the village reveals a tapestry of old stone cottages adorned with vibrant flower boxes. One cannot mention Old Aston without highlighting the breathtaking sight of its expansive lavender fields. As far as the eye can see, waves of purple stretch across the lands. The gentle sway of the lavender, stirred by the whispering breeze, creates a sense of serenity and invites visitors to pause and immerse themselves in the beauty of this enchanting village.
Mournstead
Ruins
The ruins of Mournstead stand as a haunting testament to a village long lost. Once known with another name, the remnants of this once-beautiful village now bear the scars of a tragic past. Shrouded in an air of mystery, these ruins are said to be haunted, their dilapidated structures echoing with whispers of the past. Mournstead met its unfortunate fate when the dark marshes began their ominous expansion. Legends and rumors abound, speaking of forbidden magic as the cause, a power strictly prohibited within the lands of Ashmoor. The dark marshes, an unforgiving and treacherous swamp, surround the ruins of Mournstead like a sinister veil. Veins of blackened waters meander through the desolate landscape, their depths concealing ancient secrets and whispered tales of sorrow. Those who dare to wander into them often do not return and it is forbidden territory to enter.
